The Seasonal Reading Challenge discussion

I want to remind everyone of the opportunity to win the chance to design a task for the Fall Challenge via task 20.6 Seasoned Reader- the new take on "Always a Bridesmaid"

20.6 SEASONED READER – Each player who has never created a task for any challenge earns one ticket for each challenge they have participated in. For example, if this is your first challenge you would be awarded one ticket. If this is your third challenge, you would get 3 tickets.
A random ticket will be drawn to determine who creates this task.
Players selected for this task will not be eligible to be selected for this task again.

We are building a database to distribute tickets. We need to know your participation in past challenges. Please post your information in the Seasoned Readers or Rookies thread in the Summer Challenge Folder

There's another opportunity to win a chance to design a task.

20.8 IT’S MY BIRTHDAY – The names of players whose birthdays fall between the start and end dates of the upcoming challenge will be entered in a random drawing.
To be eligible for this task, participants must post their Readerboard name (no dates, please) in the correct folder.
Players selected for this task will not be eligible to be selected for this task again.

Please update your information asap. We need to prep the database.

Just a reminder:

If your profile is set up so that you don't accept Goodreads email, we can't contact you about tasks if you should be selected for one of the 20 point tasks.

There is another way you could possibly win a chance to design a 20-point task. The Best Review Contest! Here are the rules:

20.3 BEST REVIEW CONTEST – Each player may submit one review for a book read to fulfill a current challenge task. Reviews can be posted up until 2 weeks prior to the end of the challenge. A poll will be created and the person whose review earns the most votes will get to design a task.

Post your reviews in the Best Review Contest thread in the Fun & Games folder before midnight August 22, 2010 to be eligible. Voting starts on August 23 and runs through midnight August 29. Good luck!

And speaking of 20 point tasks............

We won't know until the end of the challenge who will have the opportunity to create most of these tasks. If you are hoping to be one of the lucky ones who has this opportunity, please keep a couple things in mind.

First, I must be able to contact you via Goodreads private message. If your profile is set to private or you do not accept private messages, I will have to move on to the next eligible person for that task. So, if you want to create a task, please adjust your profile accordingly.

Second, check your Goodreads inbox! I'll be sending out private messages as soon as possible, so you should be sure and check your inbox on September 1 and 2 (while creators for some of the tasks may be determined earlier, most cannot be determined until the challenge closes at midnight on August 31). If I notify you, but then don't hear from you within 5 days, I will have to move on to the next eligible person.
