I'm both. I write speculative fiction and read anything that interests me.

Don't be too impressed, most of my books are short story or poetry collections.
Those last few bits of a book can sometimes be the hardest.

I've been a member of this group for a while, but had never formally introduced myself.
I'm Rich. I'm a reader, but seem to only have time to write lately. I have a short story in Christmas Lites called 'Memories of the Splendid Splinter'.
I also have a YA sci-fi novel out- The Colleen Colgan Chronicles- Book 1 - Flowers from Cannibals and I'm currently working of the second book- War of the Blood Demons.

Hello Rich. I'm currently reading Christmas Lites; I look forward to your story.

I've basically been a name in avatar presence alone for the past several months, so I just wanted to re-self-introduce.
First off, Hello and Happy Holidays to all. My name's Jessa and I'm a writer/indie author/avid reader. At present I write erotic / romantic fiction and have self-published three short stories. I'm also working a romance novel which I hope to have out...um...once it's done I guess lol I'm just now recovering from a recent publication and all the prep involved in that as well my computer's motherboard konking out on me several weeks ago. (Go go Netbook power! I now have one and I'm loving it!).
Anywho, hope to meet and connect with other members soon!
All my best,
Jessa

Hi, Jessa.

My name is serge and I'm a reader who wishes one day to dabble in the dark arts of writing for the entertainment of my friends.
I became introduced to this site by Tricia who was a contributor to Christmas Lights and am enjoying my stay thus far.
Maybe one day I'll participate more in the forums provided here.
Just wanted to stop by and say hi!

Ron wrote: "Hello everyone. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Ron. I am a reader but plan on trying my hand at a short story or novel. Hopefully in the near future!"
Hi, Ron, and welcome.
Hi, Ron, and welcome.

I'm Lee Holz, a GR member for nearly a year, the author of three published and several yet-to-be-published books, an eclectic and voracious reader and a person who likes to read and review books by other GR self-published authors. I like to discuss books and reading, writing, publishing and promoting books.

Welcome, Recluse. Don't be afraid to repent -- you can do all the same things again with a clear (?) conscience. If horror's your thing, Brett would love to show you around, I'm sure.

Hi Anne, welcome to our group.

I never had to look for a community of book-lovers, until I came up with this idea yesterday:

So I'm being honest about it :)
Look forward to finding some good books and great stories!

Well I like chatting (when I get the chance). I'm a reader and a writer but I absolutely hate spamming and most aspects of self-promotion. I pinched this group from another writer's author page, it looked active and interesting.
I've written in solitude for so many years, it's just lovely to have the chance to talk about books, writing and the whole kit and caboodle.
:) Georgina.

I guess I thought by coming to this place (GoodReads) I would meet writers I could learn from.
Daniel wrote: "Yes. I'm not much for self-promotion, either. I'm writing and hope to publish soon, but here I am more interested in talking about writing, and writers, of course; so I guess that means books, too...."
Here we can talk. It's wonderful. Hi from one writer to another.

My name is T'Leah. I currently write for a local magazine called "Central Mass Pride Magazine". I generally write whatever I feel like, this month it is an article on hate crimes. My personal projects are almost universally fiction. I am a scatterbrained writer and have probably ten projects going on at once. I'm almost done with a 30 page short story that would be a contemporary anti-romance told from a first-person unreliable narrator. I'm also a very hungry reader and am never out of my apartment without a book handy.
