T'leah (tmcquade) Hello!
My name is T'Leah. I currently write for a local magazine called "Central Mass Pride Magazine". I generally write whatever I feel like, this month it is an article on hate crimes. My personal projects are almost universally fiction. I am a scatterbrained writer and have probably ten projects going on at once. I'm almost done with a 30 page short story that would be a contemporary anti-romance told from a first-person unreliable narrator. I'm also a very hungry reader and am never out of my apartment without a book handy.

I'm both. I write speculative fiction and read anything that interests me.

Don't be too impressed, most of my books are short story or poetry collections.

Those last few bits of a book can sometimes be the hardest.

Richard Phelan (richardphelan) | 5 comments Hi!
I've been a member of this group for a while, but had never formally introduced myself.

I'm Rich. I'm a reader, but seem to only have time to write lately. I have a short story in Christmas Lites called 'Memories of the Splendid Splinter'.

I also have a YA sci-fi novel out- The Colleen Colgan Chronicles- Book 1 - Flowers from Cannibals and I'm currently working of the second book- War of the Blood Demons.

Jessa Callaver (jessa_callaver) | 16 comments Hello fellow members,

I'm also working a romance novel which I hope to have out...um...once it's done I guess lol I'm just now recovering from a recent publication and all the prep involved in that as well my computer's motherboard konking out on me several weeks ago. (Go go Netbook power! I now have one and I'm loving it!).
Anywho, hope to meet and connect with other members soon!
All my best,
Jessa

I became introduced to this site by Tricia who was a contributor to Christmas Lights and am enjoying my stay thus far.

Maybe one day I'll participate more in the forums provided here.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi!

Welcome, Recluse. Don't be afraid to repent -- you can do all the same things again with a clear (?) conscience. If horror's your thing, Brett would love to show you around, I'm sure.

Anne Petty (annep) | 6 comments Another recruit by Brett here! I write crossover dark fiction that's kind of horror, kind of fantasy, sort of psychological terror, a little suspense. Recent fiction is Thin Line Between, Shaman's Blood, and Hell and High Water (with P. V. LeForge) plus four non-fiction literary criticism books (mostly on J.R.R. Tolkien and mythology). My website is http://www.annepetty.com

Happy to join in the party.

Well I like chatting (when I get the chance). I'm a reader and a writer but I absolutely hate spamming and most aspects of self-promotion. I pinched this group from another writer's author page, it looked active and interesting.

I've written in solitude for so many years, it's just lovely to have the chance to talk about books, writing and the whole kit and caboodle.

:) Georgina.

message 398: by Blacke (last edited Feb 02, 2012 01:11AM) (new)

Blacke Tales (BlackeTales) | 23 comments Yes. I'm not much for self-promotion, either. I'm writing and hope to publish soon, but here I am more interested in talking about writing, and writers, of course; so I guess that means books, too.
I guess I thought by coming to this place (GoodReads) I would meet writers I could learn from.

Here we can talk. It's wonderful. Hi from one writer to another.

message 400: by Blacke (new)

Blacke Tales (BlackeTales) | 23 comments Well, I love to write, so I guess that makes me a "writer," but I still have a lot to learn. Thanks for including me, though. Not sure how we can talk other than the way we're doing now. I know there a lot of other ways on the internet but I'm kind of ignorant about all that. I'm learning, though.
