Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater Blow Me Down by Katie MacAlister Three To Get Deadly (Stephanie Plum, #3) by Janet Evanovich Undead and Unpopular (Undead, #5) by MaryJanice Davidson Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead

READ

Dead in the Family (Sookie Stackhouse, #10) by Charlaine Harris For almost the entire book I kept thinking this was my favorite Sookie book of the series. At least, I felt that way until the end. The book just ended so abruptly and their just was not enough of the Eric we know and love in it. Really, it seemed like there wasn't a lot of vampires in general. Don't get me wrong the vampires were there, but the book didn't center on them like they usually do.

Again The Magic by Lisa Kleypas I really enjoyed this book. However, I struggle with people making their lives more difficult by hiding a truth. I know it happens a lot in romance novels. Let's face it, it wouldn't be much of a story if boy meets girl, girl jumps in bed with boy...the end. But, when the lead hides her feelings or an illness or whatever to protect the other person I find myself yelling at the book...TELL HIM OR HER. Geesh! People really find ways to mess up their lives. I just don't like when the story depends on playing games to build the suspese or storyline.

3. I just love Boston. The Big Apple. Home of the Yankees. Broadway. The United Nations. All of these things in a city that... What's that? That's New York? Are you sure? Then what's in Boston? A bar where they filmed Cheers? I just love Boston. The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen (9/5)

LMAO, Jim! What's in Boston, indeed. (I'm a New Yorker so I find this really funny.)

And now I'm wondering what happened in the back of the reference section in 1986...:p

Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 5294 comments What to say? I could sing the halfway there refrain from Living on a Prayer but I've done that already. i could make some geometry joke about midpoints but I'm not sure anyone would appreciate it. Something with 5 and 10 maybe. 5'10" is tall for a woman. I sure miss my old Five and Dime. May 10th might not be my birthday but it's where I am at present.

Oh well, I guess I'm just not that original this morning.

1. "Susie sells sea shells by the sea shore." This brings me to a question. Do you think the word lisp is so hard to say as a cruel joke of some sort? And finally the man with the coolest 'S' name ever has to be Sisyphus. Wish he would have been the hero in my 'S' book. Star Island by Carl Hiaasen (9/11)

3. I just love Boston. The Big Apple. Home of the Yankees. Broadway. The United Nations. All of these things in a city that... What's that? That's New York? Are you sure? Then what's in Boston? A bar where they filmed Cheers? I just love Boston. The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen (9/5)

7. In July of 1986 in the back of the reference section. God how I love a library. Desire Unchained by Larissa Ione (9/4)

9. In honor of Agatha Christie I'll read a murder mystery. We only ever see Miss Jane Marple as an older woman who solves murders. I wonder what she was like as a younger woman. I bet she was just like Eve Dallas. Reunion in Death by J.D. Robb (9/1)

10. Choosy mothers choose Jiff. I don't know if Jess is a mother or if she chooses Jiff. But I do know that this month she chose for me Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts (9/9)
