Chérie Sues (CherieDeSues) | 2 comments Here's the link to all the books I have on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_nos...

Just touch each book title so I can reach "recommended book" status please. I'll get busy and do the same to the authors in the group. While you're there...see if any of my kindle or print books strike your fancy. I know I'll be doing the same. LOL

Thanks, Gale! Cherie, I just touched each of your books (also saw a few I hadn't tagged yet), but what do you mean about touching the titles so that you can reach 'recommended book' status? Does that mean that Amazon keeps track of the number of people who visit your book sites?

Anyways, I'm happy to help out in that. My two are on this page (number 1 and 3).

Chérie Sues (CherieDeSues) | 2 comments Here's the original post on this "clicking" business. I think it's a GREAT idea and will go through EVERYONE'S URL to "click" on their book titles lie Harrie Rose mentions...

Harrie Rose (harrierose) | 9 comments Allison Boozer, the Marketing person at Create/Space, Amazon's self-publishing house told me that to get your book placed as an "...all recommended" or other favored slot, YOU NEED TO HAVE PEOPLE CLICK ON TO YOUR TITLE. She told me to aim for 1500 clicks, minimum. Tagging is not necessary. That helps only if people are searching for a book with that tag.

To click on my book, go to Amazon & select Books, then type Harrie Rose in the search box. It will give a short list. Choose Therapy: A Novel (white cover, red couch cover) and click on it so the link will open. That's all you have to do. If you want me to click on your title, send me your title & author name & I'll click for you. Please click on my book.

Do clicks count from an amazon author central page, or only from a search results page?

Jodie Cooper (jodiebcooper) | 7 comments Hi Everyone!

Harrie, thanks for the wonderful tip. I am currently going from top to bottom and clicking – it will take a while as I'm only on Message 29 :-)

My Amazon Author page is Jodie B. Cooper - If you have time, please tag me. I'll tag those who requested it.

I've added the thread to my update and will click new requests as they come in.

Thanks for the clicks!
Jodie B. Cooper

Chaz Young (chazayoung) Jodie, I did not see any tags for you. Anyone else having that problem?

message 120: by Jodie (last edited Jun 03, 2011 02:39PM) (new)

Jodie Cooper (jodiebcooper) | 7 comments Hi Chaz,

Thanks for letting me know.

My single paperback edition shows tags, but my e-books don't. When I access 'my account' on Amazon I see where I added tags to each book so I'm not sure why they aren't showing tags.

BTW – It took a while, but I've clicked through the list above.

edit: Chaz, thanks for the info: 'e-books don't have tags' - I didn't know that :)

message 121: by Chaz (new)

Chaz Young (chazayoung) You are welcome, Jodie. I 'liked' your ebooks and tagged your paperback. I forgot that ebooks don't have tags.

message 122: by Christina (new)

Laurel Lamperd Murder among the Rose, my detective, mystery romance set in Western Australia, is now available as a Kindle download. $3.99
When Detective Matt Allenby arrived in the hamlet of Taylors Crossing to investigate a murder, he thought it would be a straighforward case. He didn't expect the locals to have secrets of their own which would conflict with his investigation. Then Matt finds he is falling in love with one of his suspects.

Hampieroberts roberts (hampie206528) | 17 comments I wish someone in this group would read my book. It's a historical romance.... American Indian. I self published it and I'm sure an editor would have found many revisions to be make before publishing. Therefore I would like comments from someone other than friends and relatives. My book is The Girl Who Lived With the Indians..Hampie Roberts. Its available through Amazon or Barns&Noble, nook and Kindle. I think they have it priced too high, but I had no control over that. contact me and I will mail you a copy.

message 140: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Grossman (laurenbgrossman) | 40 comments I had an idea and wondered if my friends at Goodreads would be willing to help me out. Four months ago I paid to have a book trailer made. It turned out great. In the 4 months I have had 840 visits and 24 comments. I may have made some book sales through it – that’s hard to tell.

I asking if all of you would please click onto this site:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQorTk... , and, if possible, leave a comment. That would help me rise up the Youtube ladder. Additionally, I’m requesting that you share the website address onto your Facebook page, Twitter, blogs, etc.

I don’t believe that a book trailer could possibly go “viral” – that only happens to people who burp the Star-Spangled Banner. But it would be a great experiment. Obviously, this request is not completely altruistic – it’s possible I may get some sales out of it. But, we could then all help each other in the same way, since we are all in the same boat.

My thanks to those of you who do this and please let me know your book’s name (website, Amazon link- if you’re an Amazon Associate, etc).
