David Katzman (daviddavid) | 90 comments James, I checked your page, and it doesn't have any tags yet to click on. You can create the tags yourself and then others will be able to endorse them.

I know. I'm actually being forced to learn more each day. It's just so hard when I'm in the middle of writing my third book.

David, I don't think I mentioned to you that I am disabled, and it isn't always easy to get around. No family here except my 70 year old husband who still works. I hate for him to do too many things for me because I think it's unfair to him. He actually is getting pretty good at Word, but the internet just frustrates him too death. I would also like to mention he is the kindest person I know. He has the patience of an angel. He would have to, living with me.
He's my best editor because he has a library of nonfiction WWII books and also minored in English literature, which was my major. Anyway, sometimes, you just have to go with the flow. I'm trying as hard as I can to write my third book, and he keeps saying, "It doesn't have to be written in a week. I write historical fiction about WWII in Pacific. Thank you for your help! David Katzman (daviddavid) | 90 comments Well, congratulations on everything you've done, Joyce! It's a big accomplishment to write a book, let alone two. Good luck with number 3! Keep me posted.

Joyce Shaughnessy (joyceshaughnessy) | 35 comments Thank you, David. I can't believe you already replied. I am proud because vets and family members of vet from "Our Greatest Generation are dying every day. I just want to say "Thank you for all you sacrificed so that we could live in freedom." They are still doing it. We even have a place in our local newspaper that asks people to log on if a vet is coming home so they can welcome him with flags and flowers. Pretty nice, huh? I guess West Texas isn't too bad. We just haven't had but about ten drops of rain in two years. Thanks for talking!

Joyce Shaughnessy (joyceshaughnessy) | 35 comments I forgot to mention the most important part of my next book. It's a spy novel set in WWII in the Filipino Underground. They called themselves "The Unsurrendered"
My two main characters are the spy, of course, and he's an American G2(forerunner of CIA)and after the Philippines are bombed (just 9 hrs after Pearl Harbor), and MacArthur hadn't moved any planes or ships because he thought the Japanese wouldn't take Philippines, but they needed it in order to set up planes and ships to go to India,Burma. Any my character, Jacob, marries a Filipina, Carla, to whom he was already engaged (she speaks Japanese,Spanish, English and tribal dialects) and he takes her with him to Mindanao right before Japan lands on the beaches off Manila. I don't want to give too much away, but she turns out to be the heroine, not Jacob. It's fun to write, but I do extensive research when I do WWII because I want all of the facts to be correct. I'm tied up right now getting who did what with what before the Japanese bomb and then land. MacArthur was stupid, but that's just my opinion. He almost got court-martialed for letting his assistant make all of the important decisions for him. Anyway my first 2 books are about Philippines, so I already have some research. I was a legal assistant and like to dig for stuff. Hope you'll check it out when it's out! For now, my books are rated pretty highly if you want to check them out.

Hi All,

I'm a bit late for the party but I will catch up with the list.

I can be found on Amazon by searching "Miles Gentry" and my book "Spontaneous Combustion: Enlightenment and the Cosmic Crucible" should be the first on the list.

http://www.amazon.com/Spontaneous-Com...

Thanks in advance and I will certainly reciprocate!
