What are you reading in September?

I'm hoping much of September will be novellas. Between being back to work, and going through a lot of medical appointments, I think that a bite sized approach to my reading will be just the ticket. I ordered a few from PS Publishing, they had a summer sale, and they should be here any day!
Reunion
Starfall
The Language of Dying
The Mermaids
Cast a Cold Eye
Blue Canoe
Old Man Scratch
Vault of Deeds
Thats a good win for you Jeanne !

I should be finished soon, that way I can work on Way of Kings for September.

Acacia: The War with the Mein
Boneshaker
The Way of Kings
and The Gone-Away World
will also try to read a few more of the Edgar Rice Burroughs Barsoom Series that I have been reading through lately.

Otherwise, I've got some GoodReads group book-of-the-month selections to read and a couple of non-fiction selections for my church. You can visit my current-month shelf for my dynamic list of September reads.

Oh, and I might get around to finishing The Art of War this month. Maybe.

I've bounced back and forth on 'Hood' for awhile. On one hand, I love the legend of Robin Hood, on the other, it seemed a bit too grim for me. (I'm not a GRRM fan, for instance.) What was it like?

If not perhaps Watership Down :)

Immediately started book #2 The Well of Ascension

Heroes Die
Shadow
The Neutronium Alchemist
Wolfbreed
I'm almost done with Heroes Die and Wolfbreed, at which point I'll start:
The Windup Girl
The Mark of Ran
Mistborn: The Final Empire
And I hope to get to Cold Magic this month, as well.

Heroes Die
Shadow
The Neutronium Alchemist
Wolfbreed...
I think I'm jealous. I'm lucky if I get 2 hours a day for reading fiction. I cannot imagine being able to read so many books at once. Maybe after retirement... ;-)

So I've started on The Painted Man and will follow with The Desert Spear this month. Exciting story so far.

I was lucky enough to win an advance copy of The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson..."
I just finished The Way of Kings, and wow its good!

Fictionwise, I'm looking forward to rereading Ursula Le Guin's The Left Hand of Darkness for one of my groups and The Tempest for another.
After that, I continue my trip down memory lane with Eileen Kernaghan: Journey to Aprilioth, Songs from the Drowned Lands, and The Sarsen Witch.

You betcha!! I won two book contests in August, maybe I should have bought lottery tix??

I loved the night angel trilogy John. If you do read this book i am sure you will enjoy it.

Now starting onThe Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. The sheer size of it is really intimidating, but I'm sure it will be great. It's really heavy and I could probably kill someone with it lol. I do wonder how this massive tome will become a paperback though. They might have to split it up into two parts!
Oh, and I'm reading Summer Knight by Jim Butcher along with it for lighter reading.

I'm going to give it another shot one of these days, Alan. Everyone seems to adore it, so I don't want to give up on it entirely.

I liked it quite a lot. A bit too much of politics for me, otherwise very good.
Before I read the last book in Mistborn trilogy, I need some break, so I started We by Yevgeny Zamyatin as a prequel to George Orwell's 1984. The beginning is very promising, apt to my cynical mood nowdays.

I was lucky enough to win an advance copy of The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson It will take me the better half of the month to read it, but it is so nice to read the start of a new epic fantasy series.
