Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments finished up Tanner's Scheme last night - i felt so bad for Cabal at the end - does he get his HEA in bengal's heart? also read Wolfe's Hope since its only like 40 pages...not bad, but not much of a story to go with it...

message 52: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments I was disappointed by Bengals Heart, but you should read it for yourself. I liked Cabal in Tanners Scheme. I'm glad you got a chance to read it.

message 53: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments well, i won't get to it for a while...i just felt soo sorry for him...almost like remi in no mercy...no hea for him yet either!

message 54: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1381 comments I didn't care for Bengal's Heart. But you should still read it.

Ang -PNR Book Lover Reviews (pnrbookloverreviews) | 324 comments haha Sam you crack me up!!!

message 56: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments lol...I know! I can't wait to see who she gets paired with. i think it will be dog. And i think so far that Elizabeth's wolf is the genral favorite.

As for Tanner's Scheme, I liked the love story. What I didn't like about it was the inconsistancies with Cabal's character that began showing in that book.

message 57: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1381 comments Yes, Cabal had multi-personality disorder from Tanner's book to his book. I didn't like it.

message 58: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments me either. In Cabal's book it talks about how the mating began years before, but in Tanner's book it talks about how Cabal wonders if the chick who dies could possible be his mate. Lora's getting her facts messed up, and it's confusing me.

message 59: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments ahhh...interesitng...

so i'm reading Jacob's Faith right now...which was released when she was at EC...but it goes back and mentions how Tanner had mated with Scheme...so its interesting since it came out before TS

message 60: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1381 comments I haven't read that one, Dee. But because of the time line and the publishers, I didn't feel bad for reading this story out of order. KWIM? Let me know how you like that one. I need to get back to that series.

message 61: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments yeah...i'm only reading it because it fits in a challenge for another group...read either book 9, 10, 11 in a series (I did Tanner which is 9 and doing Jacob which is 11 - since Wolfe is too short)

message 62: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1381 comments Oh Wolfe is a short story? I have it. Well, I have them all but I didn't know that. I'll keep that in mind for when I want to jump back in this series and need a quick read.

message 63: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments yeah - its like 30 pages...it barely has enough to make it pwp

message 64: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I'm reading Jacob's Faith as well Dee. It's not really all that great so far in my opinion. I just don't understand Jacob's reasoning for leaving in the first place.

message 65: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments niether do I and i'm abotu 20% in...i'm sure it will be explained though

message 66: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I'm a little over halfway through, and he's given his reasoning, I just don't quite understand his way of thinking.

message 67: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments i think...what i got from it...he left so that he wouldn't hurt her by sleeping with her before she was mature...I finished it up last night...it was ok...I'm moving right onto Aiden's Charity, and I also apparently bought Dawn's Awakening...hoping to get those read by the end of the week since I finished up my other challenge books for the month

message 68: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments lol...well good for you. I haven't finished it up yet, I've put it aside to finish some other challenge books. But like you i plan to move right into Aiden's Charity when I'm done, and Wole's Hope as well. But I have read Dawn's Awakening, and I enjoyed that one.

message 69: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I finished up Aiden's Charity last night...it was slightly better than Jacob's Faith...but at the same time...he was such an oblivious male...like so many of her heros...

I hear Dawn's Awakening in a tear-jerker - true?

message 70: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments That is so true! And her femae charcter's always drive me insane. ANd yes Dawn's Awakening was a tear jerker. I loved Seth, and I understand him better than I do most of her Heroes. The only ones I liked more than him so far were Jonas and Kane.

message 71: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I finished Jacob's Faith and Aiden's Charity yesterday. I really enjoyed both, though Jacob's Faith diappointed me a little. I couldn't quite understand either of the characters.

And OMG!!!! At the end of Aiden's Charity I felt so bad for Hawke. I've already ordered Hot for the Holidays.

message 72: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments Angelique, I'm so glad you're enjoying them. I find the Breed series to be so addictive. I still can't believe I haven't read the new one yet!

message 73: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I know!!! I'm dying to get my hands on it. I'm planning on buying it this week.

message 74: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments Me too! Ok, I have to go back and look at Aiden's Charity. I can't remember what happened to Hawke. LOL

message 75: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments Remember his mate jessica was the one who betrayed Haven. She helped the assins get in to kill Charity.

message 76: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments I grabbed Hot for the Holidays the other day as well as Mercury's War...but I have a ton of other books I need to read as well!

Mercury's war is a good one!

Angelique wrote: "Remember his mate jessica was the one who betrayed Haven. She helped the assins get in to kill Charity."

Oh thats right!! My memory is the worst!

Don't worry, mine isn't much better. After a while all the stories starting running together.

Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "I grabbed Hot for the Holidays the other day as well as Mercury's War...but I have a ton of other books I need to read as well!"

Mercury's War was one of my favorites! I think you'll really like that one. And I'm so excited to read Hot for the Holidays. I just ordered it from teh library.

message 79: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments You're right- they do run together after awhile. Which may explain why Elizabeths Wolf is a fav of mine. Its a little different from the others- where the little girl was Dash's draw to Elizabeth and he comes in as a rescuer...slightly different formula than the others.

My memory definitely need refreshing when it comes to the short stories. I remember least about the anthology breed stories.

message 80: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments Same here! They all just lack that extra element that akes the longer ones so memorable. That's why I'm a little diappointed that Hawke's story is a short one.

message 81: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I'm reading The Breed Next Door right now and I really liking it. It's pretty good for a short story.

message 82: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments You're right! I remember that one. I think that was my favorite short breed story. Was this with Tarek (something like that)?

message 83: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments yep thats the one. I just finished it, and I have to agree it was my favorite short story. So far. I've still got my hopes up for hot for the holidays!

message 84: by Gigi (new)

Gigi | 1149 comments I think she should have made that breed story into a longer story.

Ok lol, I can't remember which story that is, but I can't wait to hear what you think.

message 85: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I completely agree! It's sad really because it had such potential. And Hot for the holidays is the Hawke and Jessica story I've been ranting about having to wait to read.

But the breed that's had my mind wandering is David. I know he's still a kid right now, but I'll bet Lora gets to him eventually, and I hope he winds up with a hellion.

message 86: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments how are people going on this one!!

I finished up Jaguar's Kiss the toher day - which was in the Shifter Anthology - next up in Merc's War...hoping to get to it in December

Merc's War is a good one! I can't believe I still haven't read Styx's Storm yet! LOL I'm so behind on my Dare challenges!

Ugh! I just saw this. I agree with you about David. I'm dying to see what she's going to do with Cassie also!!

Ang -PNR Book Lover Reviews (pnrbookloverreviews) | 324 comments I am only Up to the 10th book :)

message 89: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments well Rossy should be posting a finish it up challenge - to finish up, or get caught up in various series you are reading...good chance to do styx's storm

Gigi wrote: "Delicious Dee Challenge Addict wrote: "how are people going on this one!!

message 90: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I'm about six books short of finishing the series, and like you guys I haven't gotten around to Styx's storm yet either. I'm disappointed in myself but I just haven't had time. the holidays are hectic here. But hopefully I'll get to it soon.

I know, Cassie is the one I'm most excited to hear about. I really hope and think she'll end up with Dog. I'm also excited to see Dane settle down. He's so fun I'm sure he'll be hell on his mate.

But David, he'll be worse than all Breeds put together and I can just see him driving a perfectly sane woman crazy. Did you see how he handled Scheme?

message 91: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1381 comments I jumped around so many times in this series. I don't know how many more I have to read. But I read the last books so I have to jump backwards a bit.

Don't you have another year yet to complete this challenge?? I was thinking of joining in if I like Elizabeth's Wolf... (I've already read the first two...)

message 93: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments yeah i think so...i was just pointing out to gigi that since she only has styx left to read, that she could also use it for rossy's challenge

message 94: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments *phew* - didn't want to miss out, just in case I decide to do the challenge...!!

Thanks Dee! I think I will use that book for that Dare.

I agree! Dane's story is going to be sooooo good! Yeah, Dane is definitely going to be an interesting one.

message 96: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 1381 comments I can't wait for Dane's story.

message 97: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I know. He's so yummy!!!

message 98: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments finished up Mercury's War the other night - i think it and Dawn's Awakening are probably my two favorite in the series from the mainstream publishers right now - loved Merc!! (can I please have him for christmas!)

message 99: by Rossy (last edited Dec 19, 2010 01:56PM) (new)

Rossy (naughtybookjunkie) | 2192 comments Oh Merc was one of my favorite heroes too. Really enjoyed the heroine, it was after her when all the other heroines started to act stupid.
All around good book in my opinion!

message 100: by Angelique (new)

Angelique Anderson | 182 comments I completely agree with you guys. This was one of my favorites as well. Merc was just so likable.
