Mornin' Baby Spice. I was just brushing up on my Irish pleasantries as it's St Patricks day today.

St Patrick's Day special - The Irish in Australia
The History Channel continues its most ambitious and exciting year of exclusive, local programming with the world premiere of THE IRISH IN AUSTRALIA, to air on St Patrick’s Day at 7.30pm AEDT.
The colourful one-hour special will follow one of Australia’s most popular comedians, Fiona O’Loughlin, as she sets out to discover the history of the Irish in Australia, including the story of her own Irish heritage, which until now she knew little about.
Starting in South Australia where her Irish forefathers first settled, Fiona sets off on her journey by asking the question: “What have the Irish ever done for us?”
Through interviews, re-enactments, visits to key places and archives, THE IRISH IN AUSTRALIA highlights the rich contribution the Irish have made to Australia – and explains what it truly means to be Irish.
In every walk of life, at every stage of Australia’s history, you will find the Irish – it pervades our sport, politics, language, religion, culture and more.
In THE IRISH IN AUSTRALIA, Fiona uncovers a host of fascinating facts about the notable and notorious Irish Australians, from Prime Ministers to the sports field, from criminals to the judge’s bench, from academia and the stage and screen, all who have contributed to Australia and the Australian way of life in so many ways.

ehehehe
Just realised it..I'm also wearing my Brewfest t-shirt for WoW! So fitting XD
I think it was Mandy who chose our new titles.
Perhaps we should rename the naughty corner to AR's Time out or AR's rehab. ? Or hang it why not just call it the "Party Corner"?

mmmmm~!!
The bottle looks a bit dodgie, but in the cocktail glass it looks divine.

Well my scariness is certainly not stopping the increasing interest of my special corner, everyone seems to want a piece of the action in party central, more the merrier:)"
Is that a better name Carmel?;)

whole site looks bad..lol i really like the bottle IRL.

After months of having 'The Hunger Games Movie Adaption' newsfeed bookmarked on my computer, and checking it at least 3 times a day for rumors/casting news/director news ect... There has FINALLY been an official decision.
Jennifer Lawrence has ben cast in the lead role. Im pretty thrilled. Also exciting that she was nominated for 'best actress' at the Oscars for Winters Bone.
Its great to see this announced after months of speculation, in which at least ten different names were thrown into the mix, and at least five 'front runners.'
I approve of this choice. Now to sit back and see who joins her as Peeta-her love interest, Gale, the third wheel of the love triangle and Haymitch, her drunk mentor.

Just not half as much as I am THG. I am one gazillion times more excited for THG. Have you read The Hunger Games/Catching Fire/Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins ? They are like, crazy good!

Do you know who's directing it Jessica?

carmel, you should definitely read them :)

He sounds interesting. I was hoping it wasn't an action type director because I don't think they have a light enough hand for YA movies. I'm thinking of the first Twilight movie compared with the rest.

But yeah, Im glad its not an action type director. That would kill it, and steal the focus from the romance. However, I hope Ross doesnt base the story around the romance aspect. I dont want it to romantic. Just a perfect blend of action and romance. I really hope the movie is perfect :)

Cassandra Clare doing a Melbourne event at Readings Books in May this year. Free, but book now. http://bit.ly/gwD4nX

We'll probably catch up with some family friends there, and dads trying to get tickets for the Collingwood/Essendon game.

Yah, I saw it a while ago....I don't completely understand how it's an 'award winner' movie. It didn't feel that special, honestly, once it was over it was the kind of movie I'll forget.
Also from what I've read/heard that the movie isn't really the truth, it's more like part truths. So, now I've no idea what's right and what's fake.
I might need to buy the book it's based on.
Did you enjoy it, Maggie?

I really enjoyed it. I loved that rapid fire dialogue. I've worked with IT guys before and it really reminded me of them. They really drove me nuts trying to keep up. I also enjoyed the way it moved between the court cases and the background story. I thought the actors were great, even Justin Timberlake. I thought the subject was really of the times. There are so many remakes and sequels out there these days it was good to see Hollywood making a drama pertinent to the 21st Century.
I liked it.. But i can see why the facebook guy hated it they made him out to be a bit of an ass hole lol
I thought it was interesting how rich he was and the results of the court cases

Thank you :-) From what minimal knowledge I have atm the expos are intended to bring the book to the notice of international book buyers, mainstream publishing houses, distributors. All books invovled will be displayed on iPads, verbally, and also in a catalogue...I'll have to fish around for more information, but I'm so excited! (Oh btw, thanks for the 'BRB' folder tip!)

@Maggie, I saw 'The Social Network' last week, and really enjoyed it. It deserved the nominations, in my opinion. It was quick, well acted, well scripted and a fascinating-true-plot.
I think its definitely one to buy when it becomes a little cheaper.
I was very impressed with Justin Timberlake's acting as Shaun Parker.

Doppe!! That is certainly tight..Nice work D!!

Going to start watching it in an hour or so, Ive heard great things about it.
Jackie Weaver was nominated for best actress for it :)
Oh, and it has Guy Pierce. I LOVE Guy Pierce!
Carmel, Meerkats are most definitely adorable :D

Going to start watching it in an hour or so, Ive heard great things about it...."
It's a brilliant & confronting movie. ..."
cute guy? heh..

Hmmm no I wouldn't say so!"
Who is it? I dunno honestly..Lol

It was outstanding.
The greatest movie Ive seen so far this year. Great acting, script, plot, directing.
Love it :)

But yes, the young boy was AMAZING! Definitely an actor to watch for.
However, I think Ben Mendelsohn was the stand-out actor as 'Pope'.
That guy will give me nightmares tonight.
Not gonna lie, this is now on my list of favorite movies ever.
I WANT TO SEE ANIMAL KINGDOM!!!

Cheers!! I'm completely excited :D and keeping my fingers crosssed for success lol

Mandy wrote: "I hate growing older. My eyesight is getting worse and I just added chocolate milk instead of normal milk to the mashed potatoes I was making!!! Aaaargh!!"
Oh Mandy, I'm sorry, but that is soooo funny!!!! Hubby and I have tears of laughter happening!! Did you eat it? ;)
