That made me laugh too. It is 1.30am I have been out drinking with my baseball team. The thought of chocie milk with mash uuuuuuh not good with all the champagne I drank. Mandy yuck.

Maggie Mmm, yes I enjoyed "The Social Network", found the story line interesting, and agree that Justin Timberlake was good as Shaun Parker. I've wondered how much of it is factual. So although I found it interesting, I still dont see it as an award winning film.

Now "Animal Kingdom", havent seen it yet but really keen to.

That is cool :D Gunna go for a run up the road and ask for his autograph ;)

And yes, that is great the business it'll make while he is around, plenty sure people would have traveled to see him.

Mandapanda How could I forget? It's World Poetry Day today the 21st March. Here's a little poem by a famous Australian poet, Les Murray:

Performance

I starred that night, I shone:
I was footwork and firework in one,

a rocket that wriggled up and shot
darkness with a parasol of brilliants
and a peewee descant on a flung bit;
I was busters of glitter-bombs expanding
to mantle and aurora from a crown,
I was fouéttes, falls of blazing paint,
para-flares spot-welding cloudy heaven,
loose gold off fierce toeholds of white,
a finale red-tongued as a haka leap:
that too was a butt of all right!

As usual after any triumph, I was
of course, inconsolable.

Brenda, Im racing on Monday, so get to miss a day of school (and french lesson!) to have one race that will be less than thirty seconds :D
A few of my friends are also going, so it should be a good day.
Unfortunately, I miss out on double drama as well, which is my favorite lesson ever.
Im going to do some more bragging here, i got a 9/10 for my drama performance, and 7/8 for the journal we have to write after.
Anyway, im should do homework now :)

So what's up with calling Cyborg 'nasty' Spice? Or isn't 'nasty' as strong a word in Australia?

message 1744: by Neko (new)

Neko Nasty is like calling someone mean but probably a little bit worse than mean.

Adele (mooturtil) | 169 comments Found this awesome site with strange facts about australia.
http://www.convictcreations.com/cultu...

did you know that...Emus and kangaroos cannot walk backwards, and are on the Australian coat of arms for that reason.
My favourite on that site is
Dropbears - Dropbears are an evil species of koala that fall from trees and attack humans. The evil strain of koala don't actually exist. The story was created to fool Americans.

message 1746: by [deleted user] (new)

:O drop bears totally exist!

message 1747: by Neko (new)

Neko totally..one attacked me today while i was escaping the rain by standing under a gum nut tree.

Adele (mooturtil) | 169 comments ah but did you ever stop to think that they are telling us that they don't exsist when they really do.

a bit like the Panther that roams country victoria(i'm not sure if it's been seen else where).

I have seen it. twice. but as i was younger, i'm putting it down to my vivid imagination (i did have 2 imaginary friends after all!).
But there is even photo evidence of this the panther that is (not my imaginary friends... we had a falling out and i burned the photos) and they (scientist, government etc.) still tell us it doesn't exsist!

Adele, there have been stories of that panther on TV, and I have wondered whether there was any truth to them...
