RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I think Gretchen and a couple people have talked bread machines before. I'm curious about them. I like cool bread and sometimes buy some at the farmers market but it can be crazy expensive.

There's a veggie/organic type store in Northampton, England called The Daily Bread. They make the BEST golden granola.

Speaking of, anyone have a really yummy granola recipe? I'd like to try making my own.

Mmm looks good. I hope you've brought a stick of butter to room temperature.

Félix (habitseven) It usually has an expiration, or "use by" date for that very reason. It dies after a while.

Félix (habitseven) That should work.

Corn bread is also yummy with chili, but that may be a childhood thing for me. I'd LOVE the turkey lentil chili recipe though, Misha!! Sounds so warm and delicious.

Jim | 6484 comments Nope Amelia, corn bread is good with chili, and I never had the combination as a kid.

Oh, and, if you don't know what it is you'll have to google it, because the best combo I ever had was in York, England. We were in a pub and they made great chili and served it in the center of a GIANT Yorkshire Pudding! (That is not dessert people. Seriously, google it.)

(Side Note: Thanks, Jim. It's always good to know I'm not a freak, or at least not the only one. :)

Bun, seriously...it's AMAZING! I've made them. Just do the Yorkshire batter like normal, but put the oil (or fat as you prefer) into a round cake pan rather than muffin tin. It makes one HUGE one. Then, when it's all hot and crispy, fresh out of the oven, ladle some of your chili right in there...sprinkle a little cheese and onion and enjoy. I'll be awaiting your report! :)
