"Shit!!!" Both snapped. They tried swimming, but the waves made them crash into rocks.

Artemis made it to land safely, but SLash was no where to be found. She started to panick. "SLash!!!" she called, but only the howling wind answered her.

Panick started to rise in her, like a fire through a forest. "SLASH!" she called again, louder, more panicky. But still, the wind was all that answered her.

Artemis sensed someone. Watching. "Slash?!?!" she called.

Artemis was about crying by the time she reached them at the shore.

Artemis knelt down beside Slash, crying hard, she kissed her.

"Patrolling. YOu guys shouldn't stay on the beach. We have a camp not far from here. This storm is bad." she said, looking up into the sky.

She sighed, "Help me get her back to my place."

Artemis lead him to her appartment. "Thanks."

The window was blurry, and through it Katrina could see the trees blowing hard in the wind. Her arms hung limply at her sides, her fingers playing with the flowery-patterned fabric of her dress. The thump of footsteps up the staircase didn't frighten her. She knew he was coming. "Katrina?" The deep voice of her father called up as he opened the floor panel. As if he didn't know she was up here.
She turned her head to look at him as he placed his hand on her shoulder. It was a gentle move, but she could see the coldness, the slight impatience, that came right before his line:
"Come down. Let's talk. Just you, and me."
Katrina tried to draw away, but her father's grip was vice-like on her shoulder.
"Let go." Katrina growled in her sleep, gritting her teeth.
"Come down, Katrina. It's just to talk." Katrina could tell he was lying. His voice was cold, steady.
Katrina continued to pull away, but his hand merely tightened. She hit his arm, but the other hand... Katrina jerked awake, one hand against her cheek. Katniss and Kate were both asleep, and Jared was nowhere to be found. Katrina lay back down, but her eyes remained wide open.

Artemis stared at the stormy sky. She sighed.

Kate's eyes flicked under her eyelids. The wind blew her hair into her face and out again. She was completely still, almost stiffly so.

Katniss rolled onto her side, breathing deeply and calmly. She didn't even know what she was dreaming, but whatever it was was obviously grand.

Katrina started at the sky. A large cloud was covering most of the stars and moon. The fire was out, but, even in the harsh wind, she wasn't even shivering.

Marcus stood underneath the cover of the trees, staring out accross Lake Supiorior. He wasn't only a werewolf, but a shapeshifter. He knew the storm was coming days before anyone else knew.

Katrina stood up, unable to just lie there. She walked over to the edge of the water, standing to her ankles in the cold water.

Artemis opened the door and gestured to a leather sofa.

Artemis wrote an address on a piece of paper. "If you guys want a safe place to wait out the storm, this is the place." She said, looking at the piece of paper. "I advise this, the storm is to be bad."

A loud rumble ripped through the air, waking Katniss and Kate. Katrina's eyes flicked up towards the air, searching for the storm cloud. It rolled in over the lake, growling darkly.

Marcus heard it, he walked into the clearing. "I know where you guys can take shelter. Artemis always let's visitors go there." he said to them.

Katniss nodded, beckoning Katrina over to her. Katrina obliged, but watched Marcus warily.

He looked to the skies. "Follow me."

The three followed him to Artemis' apartment. The giant storm cloud continued rumbling ominously, getting louder and stronger each time.

He led them up a stairwell to a second floor apartment, he unlocked it. Walking in he showed them the remains of once three apartments, Now one huge one.

Katrina looked from left to right, rotating her head slowly as she walked in.

"Nice place." Katniss commented.

He nodded. "We kind of had an issue a while back... It's why the walls are blown out."

Katrina thought back to the beach, frowning slightly. "Katniss, I'll be back. Soon, hopefully." Before anyone could object, she was out the door and running back.

Artemis sat down next to Slash as he left.
Marcus walked in.

Katrina spotted Jared and told herself to speed up. "Jared!" She called, hoping to get him to turn around. Her timing wasn't all that great; just as she called a loud rumble of thunder drowned her out. She called again, still around 100 yards away.

"Jared!" Katrina screamed again, needing to slow down.

"This storms worse than I thought..." Marcus muttured. He got up and left, changing into his wolf. Heading for the cliffs.

Finally she reached him. "Sorry we left. Some guy told us to go to Artemis' apartment. Where were you?" She spoke quickly, panting as she did so.

Marcus started to howl. The warning signal.

"Yeah..." Katrina looked up, towards the cliffs, searching for a silhouette.

He repeated the howl. No one wanted to be out.

The thunder was heard above as the eaves crashed on the rocks below.

Katrina followed Jared, flinching slightly every time thunder sounded.

Katrina nodded, running back up the hill towards the apartment.

Slash started shivering. Artemis got her wet clothes off and wrapped her in a robe. Sighing. SHe was so worried...

"Fine."

"Where did you go?" Katniss asked Katrina.
"To find Jared, durh."
Katniss rolled her eyes.

Marcus shiftd back and headed to his own house.

She nodded. Staring at Slash.

Artemis sighed. She got up and headed to one of the supposed closets. She walked in and locked the door, lying down on the small bed in there.

Artemis turned on the stereo softly. Shutting her eyes.

"Really?"

Artemis ended up sleeping.

Katrina couldn't think of anything to say.

Slash woke up. She shifted into a sitting position, drawing her robe closer to her. She was slightly dizzy. And blind with pain.
