Eon by Alison Goodman
Eon by Alison Goodman

Eon has been studying the ancient art of Dragon Magic for four years, hoping he'll be able to apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune. But he also has a dark secret. He is actually Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl who has been living a dangerous lie for the change to become a Dragoneye, the human link to an energy dragon's power. It is forbidden for females to practice the Dragon Magic and if discovered Eon faces a terrible death.

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) I want to read this series, has anyone read it?
Is it any good?

Timmysparks I'm very interested in it too. It seems really good!

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) It does. It's a tad outta my confort zone, but i'm branching out a lot lately and it looks excellent.

What's your comfort zone? I've a feeling it going to be in a setting like Graceling and Fire by Kristin Cashore

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) I used to stick to a lot of vampire based novels, but i find that i love a lot of fantasy type books more and more. The past few months i've really changed what i read. I never knew there were so many great books out there.

And i've read those books, they were really good =)

How about you? What's your usual type of book?

Timmysparks Vampires, werewolves witches and Faeries. Then some historicals. After i read Graceling I've become interested in those types of books. That's why i'm interested in Eon: Dragoneye Reborn

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) Ditto! I've read a lot of faerie books lately and it's become one of my fave types. Poison Study really got me into these types of books.

Timmysparks Is Poison Study in the same kind of scene as Graceling?

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) Yeah and it's BRILLIANT! If you haven't read it then i suggest you do. It's one of my all time faves!

Timmysparks I'll get on it then. I've been contemplating if to read it or not. Now I will.

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) You really should! I put off reading it for a long time despite all the great reviews and people raving on about it, but when i actually read it i completely understood their praise.

Timmysparks Have you read Eragon Its in the same setting. I've been putting it off for awhile. I think i'll read it sometime soon.

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) No, i haven't. It actually seemed childish to me. I doubt i'll read it. This sounds a bit more mature, lol.

message 15: by Timmysparks (new)

Timmysparks Lol. I'll give it a try and tell you how it goes.

Rachel (The Rest Is Still Unwritten) (rachybee) Yeah, let me know. I've heard that a lot of people have liked it and it might have been something i'd loved a few years ago.
Still, if you read it and think it's really go i may give it a try...
