OK, RA and others around here may think camping blows chunks, but $10 for the year? What a deal!

Heck yeah, I'd be all over something like that...well maybe not here in Texas so much, but if we were still living in a northern state. It's a good idea.

Well, I like going to state parks, I just don't like sleeping at state parks, so this is pretty good, I agree. I think we pay something like 30 for the year in Wisconsin.

I just wish there were more state parks in Michigan where the camp sites were more spread out and not right on top of each other.

Anyone know of any?

I felt this way too, RA, until my friends bought a 30 ft travel trailer in which I had my own bed and there was a bathroom. I only want to camp where there are full hook-ups, but hey, it's still in the woods! It's all about compromise. Close to hiking trails, can still have a camp fire, but I don't have to find a bush to pee in during the night...and I get to shower...in private...clean...warm area. Oh, and A/C for sleeping in the summer. Imperative.
