Romance Readers Reading Challenges discussion

Done with Red-Headed Stepchild, liked it and managed to pick up The Mage in Black last weekend, which I'll probably read this month as well. Now reading Stolen Fury by Elisabeth Naughton and really enjoying it.

These are the ones I for sure will be reading this month!

Thanks Melanie - I keep hearing wonderful things about her highlander books.

I'm halfway through ... Didn't think I would like the whole kidnapping plot, but having read half the book, I'm totally into it, and into Cael:-)

Just finished The Gargoyle which I really can't recommend highly enough and about to start Beastly just cause I need something a little lighter to recover.

I finished , which I didn't like. I'm now reading .

I've been #1 in the WL for this book for ages at PBS but I've had it on hold all this time...maybe I should take the plunge and order it!

Finished last night... Not as good as Open Season, but a fun story nonetheless: 4*
Just got through , and gotta say, Victoria Dahl writes some very sexy heroes too! 4*

Finished Scarlet Nights . Nice romance. Mike and Sara are meant to be together and they know they're meant for each other, she just has to admit it and he has to save her from the evil fiance. I enjoyed this return to modern day Edilean, VA. I have a feeling Deveraux is going to alternate between historicals and moderns in order to reveal the history of the town.

I'm on book 18 of the In-Death series. The characters keep growing and changing. I'm still loving the series.

I have one more of the Morrigan's cross books to go. I keep going back and forth between hack fantasy and fun PNR. I'll finish it with the third, but can't quite make up my mind.

I just started The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Gotta' love finishing a category for the monthly.

I just finished reading IT WAS FABULOUS! I laughed, I cried. I actually started reading it over again - it was THAT good! THIS IS A MUST READ PEOPLE!!!

Just finished reading and the ending was highly satisfying, but I'm still very sad that there won't be any more books.

I'm reading Lord of Pleasure. Had good reviews on Barnes and Noble but I'm not enjoying it. At least it was free, I borrowed it for my Nook.

I loved everything except the ending...
Wish it had ended differently...

this morning I picked up The Five Greatest Warriors by Matthew Reilly. I've read the other two series books and they were very good so this ought to be interesting.

I don't typically enjoy westerns but I finished and I really loved it!! Now I'm reading and so far so good!!

Finished .. Enjoyed the greek mythology (favorite subject when I took Ancient Greek in HS..) and am looking forwards to reading the next couple books..

I think I'll be reading either or next, they all sound great! :-) Any recs on which to start with?:-)

I really enjoyed this one...my mom gave it to me for christmas a few months before it was available in the US...i've been a fan of Matt Reilly since he self-published his first book back in like 1995 (I think)...its now been republished

Today I finished I carnt wait for the next book. and which Was good. I have started I am big fan of Lynsay Sands and hope this book dosent disappoint.

Just finished Shadow Bound,I like the plot a lot in this book but the main characters are still kind of a mystery to me,I like to know the characters early in the book or I get bored easy even with a good plot.

I'm waiting till the last VA book is out before I read books 3-6... I don't like waiting, lol!

I ended up reading and looking forwards to a Cinderella story: gotta say, I was disappointed: the heroine spent the first 2/3 of the book not believing the hero, and I just felt that she was sometimes TSTL.. 3 stars..

Currently reading Stolen Heat, second book in the Stolen trilogy by Elisabeth Naughton. It's guitar lesson tonight for my kids so I should finish it while waiting for them. I'll then probably go on to book 3, Stolen Seduction. After that it will be a toss-up between Head Over Heels by Susan Andersen, How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks or Burn by Linda Howard :)

it does have very mixed reviews huh? I love Garwood and thought I would start it anyways. I'll let you know when I am done.

I finished and will probably pick up the rest of this series. Now I am starting for the challenge.

Reading Wanderlust . Enjoyable SF book. I also enjoyed Skin Game, which she wrote under Ava Gray, so I'm going to try out Blue Diablo next.

I finished , it was so good. Now I'm finishing .

I have just finished Dark Lover by J.R. Ward and it was fantastic, It may get a bit intense to read the series one after the other so I think I will read a different book in between. I have just started the last book in the blood ties series All Souls' Night by Jennifer Armintrout.

Loooved the first one (5*), the second was a disappointment coming from Loretta Chase (3*) and the last was a cute retelling of Sleeping Beauty (4*)

I started yesterday and I am already almost halfway done with it.

Finished Wanderlust . Great second novel in the series. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but there is an interesting revelation about why Jax is different from other jumpers. I'm definitely going to read the third book.

Currently reading Blue Diablo .

I'm starting First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost and Betrayed by PC Cast.

Emily, you're the first person I've seen say it was their favorite Wallflower book. It seems like the majority are fans of Devil in Winter which was my least favorite so far. I'm not very far into Scandal in Spring, but if it continues the way it has been, it might become my favorite too.:-)

It looks like I need to retract what I said, Devil in Winter is the one that is my favorite. I don't know what I was thinking, I confused the two. Scandal is actually the first I read in the series but there is something about Devil in Winter that is pretty special.

Finished and it was awesome!! Started and so far it's good!!
