Would you rather have new shelf names posted weekly or every other week?

Keep in mind, if we leave it at weekly, members can take longer to read each book, but until their rating & review is posted their team will not get credit for that shelf.

If we change it to every two weeks that would give everyone two weeks to read before the next book must be chosen.

I'm happy to do it either way, which ever would be best for the majority, is good for me.

Please state below: Weekly or every other week

Jackie M | 695 comments My vote is every other week.

Diane ~Firefly~ | 913 comments I'm a bit unclear - if it is every two weeks then the book must be completed in that two week time period to get credit?

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I apologize for any confusion.

Basically, no matter when the shelves are posted, members of each team can take as long as they need to read each book.

However, until their rating & review is posted their team will not get credit for that shelf. In order for each team to get credit for a shelf, each member on the team must have read, rated and reviewed a book from the shelf.

So, if you plan on reading your book before the next shelf is posted the two week time period would give you one more week to read.

Hope that helps, let me know if not. :)

Ah, makes more sense. So the only choice is how long we want to wait for the next option. I could do either way, but would probably prefer every week.

message 6: by Judithe, Soap Operas never end.... (new)

Judithe | 6566 comments Though I'd like one every week, it will probably be a more even playing field to post a new one every other week. That will give all players a chance to finish their books, and not pressure any one player overly much.

So basically, I'm fine with either!

message 7: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Either is good for me but as Judithe said maybe every other week will give everyone time to, find the next book and read it and post a review.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments That's what I'm thinking too.

Amber (crazyaboutbooks) | 499 comments Every other week works better for me and what I have going on these next few months.

message 10: by Amanda A (new)

Amanda A | 812 comments I'm fine with either option.

message 11: by Daffodil (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments I read enough that a week would be doable, but I agree that two weeks would probably even the playing field. (And let me figure out how to squeeze my chosen book into the proper place in Yz's Reading Tournament over at RRRC.) So my vote goes to 2 weeks.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments I say every other week...

Sandra | 25908 comments Yes that Reading Tournament at RRRC is a killer, Daffodil. Been having lots of fun (not) trying to fit books into their right place.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments LOL! Ditto!

Yeah, I'm thinking 6 months is too long for that kind of challenge. It is a cool idea, but I don't know how much longer I'm going to keep it up.

message 17: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments You're not alone in that, Diane. Many people have voiced the same concern there, but Yz is sticking with the time frame and may adjust it for future editions. It's hard to know in advance on stuff like that. I think we're all feeling the burn on that one. :) For me, it's like planning for a 5K (bahaha, in theory, of course ... ) and ending up running a 25K instead. Where's the respirator?? LMAO!!

Status Update: We will be announcing shelf names every other week in hopes this will give each team member a fair amount of time to pick a book, get their hands on it, read it, rate & review it.
