Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) Go to the Kilmartin House Musuem and, from there, the megaliths. You'll be able to pick something pagan-ish at the museum (check out the CD of music they made using ancient instruments) and visit some marvellous places at the same time. There is an audio walk to take you through the sites like Temple Wood and Nether Largie from the Open University; there's a link on the website. Certainly they sell book on local folklore there (I saw them in August) which will lead you to even more places.

Check out Dunadd, too.

The Blue Hag is associated with Ben Crauchan ~ "One story attaches her to a specific place; she was charge of a well on the summit of Ben Crauchan in Argyll."

Check out websites, like Mysterious Britain and Ireland, the the Megalithic Portal, which has maps so you can search by area, and The Modern Antiquarian for ideas.

I'm sure that as you visit various places, the perfect gift will make itself known to you.

By the way: this question is definitely not "off topic"; it's very on topic for anyone visiting another country and wanting to make connections.

Michael | 7 comments You might also try going to Witchvox and checking out pagans in Scotland. Contacting them should help in finding interesting places to go.

Hope that helps....BB.

Ancestral Gaidheal (gaidheal) I'm sure the members of Goodread's "Pagan Scotland" group will be able to help, too.

Also, see if the folks at Retelling the Tales of Scotland " group, where members share tales of the old gods and goddesses, have any ideas. I'm sure they will be willing to help.
