The BOTNS Book Index is back!!!! Thanks to Rob, an amazing, wonderful, brilliant liste..."
Thats great news! I'm so excited, loved going in there when i was ready to start a new book, always got some great ideas, thanks!

I"m curious -- is it intuitive to use? Did you realize that if you click the "podcasts and posts" button to the left of the title, it will take you to a place where you can navigate to the blog post or episode where we discussed the book?

I tried the new index and it's great! It took me maybe two minutes total to understand it all so I would have to say it is very intuitive! I also like the clean look of it. I clicked on the "podcasts & posts" button to the left of the title and it took me to a list of the related podcasts & posts. It did take me a split second to figure out what to click on to get to the podcast/post itself ("Podcast/Post Date?" "Title?" Ah! The word "podcast!") but I'm a bit slow on the uptake today :-)
If I hit "podcasts & posts" to the left of "Waiting for Columbus", it will display 7 hits, one for each podcast and post. If I search for "Waiting for Columbus" in the search box, I get 2 hits, one for each category (interesting that "Audiobook" is a category like "Fiction!") For a minute I was confused as to why I was getting different hit results; but I got it now! I love it and can't wait for it to be integrated onto the BOTNS site! Thank you, Rob!

OK, we've officially gone "live" with the index. It's now available from the Books on the Nightstand website, on the tab named, uh, "Book Index".
Thanks all for your beta testing!
Thanks all for your beta testing!

I'm a new listener and am listening to the past episodes.
I'd decided to copy the names of the books and intended to compile a list too. But it's already done! Thanks Rob.
I am currently on episode 9. I find it so funny that people are so alike in certain things. I am a recovering cookbook addict, but I'm completely lost when knitting books are concerned. I'm a knitter so I may have a reason?!!

I'm so glad this is helpful, and I can't wait to hear how people use it.
Nice to meet you, Cristina -- thanks for listening and for joining us. I have managed to curb my knitting book addiction (mainly by realizing that I average just one project per year) but my cookbook compulsion is only growing.

Thanks Rob for all your hard work!
The BOTNS Book Index is back!!!! Thanks to Rob, an amazing, wonderful, brilliant listener who also has mad database programming skills.
We're announcing it here first so that we can make sure it all works well when there's more than 2 people using it. So please go in, take a test drive and put it through its paces.
There may be some categorization oddities, misspellings, or other mistakes -- please feel free to let us know.
Also, I want to again thank all of the volunteers who earlier input all of the titles into the previous rendition of the index -- this project would not have happened without your hard work.
Here's the link -- let us know what you think ;)
