Holy cow time is flying by. I almost forgot about this. >_< Nominations will be taken until the 25th - if there are no nomination for a few days before the 25th I may just start up voting.

So, nominate away!

Nominations so far:
Towers of Midnight
Etiquette for Outlaws
At the Mountains of Madness and Other Tales of Terror
The Hunger Games
Night Watch
The Lies of Locke Lamora

Keith (oafaye) | 60 comments Well, my book likely won't win this month, but I don't care. There is one thing and one thing only I am reading in Nov, so I might as well nominate it

Towers of Midnight

Mary (med401) | 234 comments If I think of something I want to nominate, I'll edit it in.
Ok, here's my pick: The Black Echo.
Are we going to have a cap of 10 this month?
Edit: I'd rather nominate Night Watch.

And I'm having computer problems. I'm unsure if I'll be able to vote or participate for November. We'll see.

I think we'll just go with however many titles are nominated. We haven't been getting a ridiculously high amount so there's not much need to cap it. If we have too many titles we can though.

Katt_goddess | 269 comments Going in a slightly different route this time around - a book that I already know I'll skip a section on [section 2... o.O ]. :D

"Etiquette For Outlaws" - Rob Cohen and David Wollock.

One of the few books I own that actually starts out with a word of warning from the writers' lawyer. :D

At the Mountains of Madness
It isn't really that long, but it is extremely well written, and might be nice considering the upcoming holiday season to have something shorter.

In order to fully clarify, I am nominating only the actual story At the Mountains of Madness.

Mary (med401) | 234 comments I can find Lovecraft all over the place to dl free. (Figured out the question I asked so nvm.)

I'd be open to reading this. I read a lot of Lovecraft but it's been a long time. Rereading it would be fun.

Same as last month The Hunger Games

message 9: by Mary (new)

Mary (med401) | 234 comments I want to change my nomination to Night Watch. I've been meaning to read this for a long time, this would be an excuse to buy it and get it read. If we end up short on nominations, and it's allowed, keep my other one. If it's a choice, I'd prefer Nightwatch. It suits the group better.

Alrighty, both of those have been added to the list.

Oh yeah, I'm nominating Lies of Locke Lamora. I'm reading it right now, but it's a really awesome book. It's a little lengthy at 500 pages, but it's really good so you don't notice the length.

Few books this month, but that should make it interesting for voting. Poll will be up in just a few minutes.
