Katie (lostsatellite) hello, this is my first post here...I lurked and read a few posts in the early days of this community, and then real life took over and I haven't been able to keep up or catch up...

but a link shared on BookSlut today fits very well into the idea behind this community, and the way our culture has been "Oprah-ized"...it's letters written by Steve Almond (author of the wonderful Candyfreak as well as some short stories I've never read) to Oprah, and they're pretty spot-on...
