I am a huge fan of your amazing work! I discovered you through my BFF, who recommended the Wallflowers books to me about 3 years ago. It was after my big brother (and only sibling) had passed away and I was devastated. I’ve always been a bookworm, but for a while after his passing I found that I couldn’t read anything, and couldn’t find any escape in my books.
Judith McNaught was my favourite historical romance author since my teens, and I saw in an interview you did a few years back that you had listed her as one of yours, too.
The first book of yours that I read was actually It Happened One Autumn (I was misinformed on the order of the Wallflowers books! LOL). I absolutely fell in love with Marcus, Lord Westcliff (and he continues to be one of my fave heroes of yours), and all the Wallflowers. I devoured book after book of yours. I’d finally found an author whose books and characters I’d love and cherish as much as Judith McNaught’s!
The Wallflowers and the Hathways (even though only Mine Til Midnight had been released, at that stage – I love Cam!) became like “friends” and "family" to me, and they comforted me during a difficult year struggling with overwhelming grief. THANK YOU so much, Lisa, for creating such amazing characters that will remain in my heart forever. You'll never know how much your books mean to me and how they helped me.
I’ve also loved your contemporary Travis series. You make it difficult to choose between Gage, Hardy and Jack! They are all amazing heroes!
You mentioned in an interview last year that you were intending to spend some time at Friday Harbor ogling *cough*, I mean researching, the sexy boat men of the Washington Coast. I hope you had some inspiring research! *grins* I eagerly await your new Friday Harbor series and every new book you write in future.
With love and gratitude,
Jayne (a.k.a Lady Jayne on Goodreads)

Thank you so much for agreeing to do a Q&A with our group. You are my favorite romance author and was truly shocked you didn't win more RITA awards. I think every one of your books deserves one. :)
I love how your books would be wonderful even without all the romance scenes, but those are also what makes your books so wonderful. My mom and I have argued in the past about romance books. She says they're all the same. So the other day when I held her captive in my car I turned on the CD of one of your books I was listening to and she said, "Wow, this is really good who wrote it." Yes, my face had the grin of a cat that ate the canary on it. You helped me prove my point. She is now a fan. LOL
You have your own unique style that, IMHO, makes your books almost magical. I call your style of description a "poetic gesture", for lack of a better term, where you take something as ordinary as baking and weaves terms associated with it throughout a portion of the story as you spin a delightful tale. Nothing rhymes, but by the repetition of associated terms it almost appears to. I saw on your Facebook chat that you said you take a little bit of this and a little dash of that and come with your own recipe for a romance novel. The care, time, and thought you put into your books truly shows through. Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift with us. I always enjoy taking a mini vacation from reality when I enter the world of one of your books.
Once again, thank you for joining us.
Sincerly,
Lisa (aka Lisarenee on Goodreads)
