As the fifth book has just been released I thought I would create a post about the series. Sample Chapters can be read free on-line.

I'm pleased to say they the series has received dozens of good reviews by the blogging community - the most recent ones can be from FANTASY BOOK CRITIC (Wintertide) & ICEBERG INK (The Crown Conspiracy).

Has anyone started reading this? I started the audio yesterday and it was pretty good. The characters are witty and not at all what I expected. I stopped though because I'm waiting for a friend of mine who is going to read it with me.

I have finished the first three books of this series. I really loved The Crown Conspiracy, and have continued to enjoy Avempartha and Nyphron Rising. I have to dredge through a bit more of my TBR pile before I can let myself buy The Emerald Storm.

They are really good fantasies, and while it's indicate that they do stand alone, I'd really reccomend reading them in order, since there are references to events of the earlier books as you go along, and I, for one, hate spoilers like that!

The characters have developed nicely through the first three books, and I look forward to learning more about them. The two main characters, Royce and Hadrian, are very "Butch and Sundance" in their interactions.

I noticed this thread and bought Crown Conspiracy on my kindle. It is wonderful, the two main character's are very 'Butch and Sundance', I also like the monk, particularly when he shrieked due to horses 'coming' in brown.
