Maybe the 1st POV that make the story boring. I have hit and miss with 1st POV.
Anyone had read the parody of Fifty Shades of Grey? The title is Fifty-one Shades: A Parody . Quite hilarious!
@Cindy: I'm having a really difficult time getting through 20 Thousand Leagues, so maybe I'll switch to Liesl and Po. I'm glad you're enjoying it! You can discuss more about it on our June group read thread:

I think I'll purchase Liesl and Po this weekend.
@Yessyamarilis: Yay! My favourite is Fifty Shades Darker out of the trilogy. So.much.angst. Hope you'll enjoy it!

i hope the 2nd book better than the first one,..so let's give it try

fell in love with Palahniuk's dark humor after Snuff.
Currently reading Daughter of Smoke and Bone (finally) and boy am I loving it so far!
Will read Liesl and Po after this one :D

Oh I'm curious about Liesl and Po. I liked Daughter of Smoke and Bone, but thought the main leads could be more..less fairy taleish perfect I guess. Still gg to read the sequel to see if they'd change my perception ^^
I just finished 1Q84 so now I
@Sanshow: On the contrary, I don't think the leads were fairytale-ish. Akiva is a far cry from Prince Charming (look at those tallies on his fingers!) and Karou, well... I think she's a hipster, haha. That's just my two cents; and I certainly understand where you're coming from. I would say the story as a whole is sort-of fairytale-ish, but that is mainly why I like it. It's been a while since I've read YA that is not Dystopian. :D :D
I will now start to read our June read too, and try to finish it, before I start on other new reads. *high-fives Sanshow*

I tried to read that but then gave up in the middle. Is that worth continuing? This one seems harder than any Murakami's book...

The story buildup is kinda slow but I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It's a very Japanese drama kind of writing, sort of like art films. If you enjoy thrillers you'd probably find this stretchy, but if you like human psychology, imagination and nuances, this would give you some surreal moments.

@Sheva: I've read A Long Way Down; and my feelings about it are mixed. It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but it wasn't horrible. I am, however, excited to see the movie. It has been optioned for film.
Now I'm reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth. So far, underwhelming.

and soon, I will re-read Night Huntress series 1-3 (it's one of my favorites among all the series x)

@Rachel: Thats a good trilogy :D I love it! :))
@Indah: Same case with the "Serpent's Shadow", awesome book. Too bad that it's the last book of the Kane Chronicles :/
Now I'm reading Waterfall by Lisa Tawn Bergren. It started really annoying, but now it's really, really good. A really fun YA.

What am I reading? Tons (!) of articles and research papers I can tell you that..
Anyway I just finished 20TL. Will review later, maybe.
Hello?! *echo*

Oh,I plan to read the first! Or maybe because the model cover is Paul Marron, lol!
Finish reading Elemental, will continue reading Storm. Australian seems writing better YA than Americans do
Since my last post on this thread; I've finished the River of Time trilogy which consists of Waterfall, Cascade & Torrent. They were really fun to read. And in between the trilogy, I've read Beautiful Disaster and The Secret Hour. Wow, haven't I been a busy little bee.
Wowza Rachel. I envy you for having the time to plough thru a trilogy just like that, and then some. Though I cant blame anyone but myself. *sigh*
Does ur recent shift to e-books help?
Does ur recent shift to e-books help?
I've been a tad bit proscratinating, haha.
My shift to e-books helped SO MUCH. So many books available at my fingertips! It's crazy.
Nookporepaah *geli* hahaha.

Finish

It's an erotica romance, short story but I enjoyed it.
Hopefully can read

Angelfall by Susan Ee; a different type of Dystopian than what I'm used to, and it's an utterly great change. What a breath of fresh air. Really enjoying it so far.

I'm reading Fahrenheit 451. I enjoy the story so far but a bit :( because I just found a smaller in size edition plus cheaper in Times yesterday (bought mine in BookDepository)!
Hello and welcome to the group! Have a look around and feel free to post in whatever thread you find interesting. We hope to see you around here more :)
Currently reading Poison Study; Goodreads recommended it to me, so fingerscrossed it's good.

I've always loved Julia Quinn for her funny and smart conversations between the characters (instead of the love scenes) and this novel has loads of it.
Also currently reading

I never know why so much people like it too (hehehe, no offense, Rachel. I know you like Fifty ^^)
@Ren: None taken! It's not for everyone :) It was my first foray into this genre, and well, I was caught unaware, and I was totally absorbed into it. My utmost guilty pleasure, that trilogy, lol.

I never know..."
Hehe...and yet your tweet full of fifty...
Currently re-read (again) Linda Howard Books. Just finished Mr.Perfect and Open Season. Now I'm in the last page of Cry No More. After that maybe I will read Water Bound by Christine Feehan.

So far don't know what to comment this story. Liam is sweet and a man who every girls want to be with, I know, but... some parts of the story just don't make sense

Need to finish this to know is it good or just so-so..

@Adisty : Just tweets Fifty random things that amused me ;)
So, beside I do my best to finish Fifty tonight, I just finish reading

I never know..."
I've been curious about that!! i keep on seeing it in every bookstore but i haven't had the money to buy it yet :P i used my last savings for

bought several new ones last week, only had time to finish one.
mixed feelings on this one. on one hand, it was good, somewhat expected from preston/child. a whole bunch of twists just sort of blindsided me in the story. it was good, really. but not excellent, which so many of their Pendergast series are. so basically, i'm like a kid given a mercedes and whining that it wasn't a bentley. which it wasn't.
now looking for another peaceful night so i can read another book. or at least finish my

@Ellen: I've finished Poison Study, and it's good! Not amazing; a bit cliche, very straight to the point writing ... but I think it's still a very good YA. A quick read, very enjoyable.
@Jati: Go and finish A Dance with Dragons already! You've been reading that for forever!
And now I'm starting David Levithan's The Realm of Possibility.

@Rach: Leave him be. I think he's rationing it. God knows when the next one will be out.
@Jati: Careful though Jati, (echo effect) for no mortals knows when and where the God of Spoilers might pay us a visit. be prepared to plea "NO! Not today."

I never know..."
I recently finished 50 shades too. And it took all of my willpower to finish it. Certainly not going to read the other 2 books then... Do tell if they're any good, though! :)

@Reza What shall I offer to God of Spoilers? Here I am still reading the first Bran chapter of GoT (watched Season 1, read Clash of Kings then decided to read the first book).
I just finished 1st part of Fahrenheit 451 and I'm wondering why it's titled The Hearth and The Salamander..
@Elfira: Ah, nobody really deserves the visit from God of Spoilers, but some victims are actually kinda asking for it. Well I'm sure u know better than to roam around forums, discussion boards, wikis, and the likes. Tread carefully, cos really, the internet is like a jungle full of traps.

@Reza: That was the original plan. But then after I got my Nook, I was given the eBook of 20 Thousand Leagues for free. So I figured I'll just give Verne a try first.
