Scribble Orca (scribbleorca) Looking forward to reading, discussing, exchanging and laughing with you all.

I'm legal, have a licence, finished my scholastic education, love reading and can't keep my mouth shut (not even to save my life :D). My favourite genre is YA sci-fi/fantasy, but I like crime, adventure, thriller, anything really so long as its devoid of blood and guts (there's gotta be something wrong with my DNA, I'm sure...I go green around the gills at the first whiff of anything vaguely violent).

I'm a big fan of Lawrence Durrell, although he doesn't really qualify as YA material (his protagonists were more A than YA), and for classics I'm a sucker for Keats and Shakespeare (and they aren't in the running, either, although Keats died when he was young). The best new YA series I read recently is Percy Jackson. At the moment I'm stuck on Sherlock Holmes - it's fun and there's not too much emotion - if there's a lot of feelings I tend to start acting like the protagonist and it drives everyone around me crazy :D.

I also like reading non-fiction (I told you I was weird), so if you check out my bookshelves don't be surprised at some of the odd titles.

And I'm always open to recommendations - please let me know if you've found a good book (unless it's about vampires/werewolves/zombies)!

I'd like to win a book to review but I can never make up my mind which one I like best!

Cheryl (cherylllr) Win a book to review? You mean here on goodreads on giveaways? You can enter for as many books as you want!

I'm off to check your shelves. I also read non-fiction.
