Ok. So this is pretty crazy cool, imho.

I was sitting here working on school stuff. All of a sudden my nose got crazy stuffy and a headache hit. I went to the kitchen to see if we had theraFlu, we didn't. I put my coat on over my pajams and grabbed my keys and went out the door to get some.
I pulled into the side entrance to the grocery, hopped out of my car, and who was there but my best friend from childhood, getting out of her car with her coupons and grocery bags right next to me.
We hadn't seen each other since we ran into each other in the exact same spot four months ago on a random Saturday morning.
how weird is that?

She is stalking you...

Can I ask a dumb question? What are the coupons for?

Groceries! Well, I was going specifically for TheraFlu, and she told me she had about "six free tubes of toothpaste" coming her way. :D

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments I love Kismet! (Unless she really is stalking you) I'm of the opinion that the more you recognize it, the more it happens in little ways. I always see it as a measuring stick... am I going down the path I want to go in? Or it gives you opportunities to start a new one.

Or perhaps you both just really like the same store. ;)

Naw, I'm with you on that one, CS. I think I'm totally on the right path and seeing Hal is always a sign of that.

Coupons are for discounts on specified items or purchases at certain stores...like 10% off total purchase price at *insert name of store here* or $0.50 off Crest toothpaste.

It sounded like you guys were on food rationing -- WWII food coupons. I knew things were bad over your way, but I didn't think they were that bad. :)

It is that bad for a lot of people. I'm seeing a lot more people paying with food stamps (which looks like a credit card but isn't).

Move over here, our economy is booming.

Good question. If I were on my own computer I would look it up. My daughter's computer won't lead me to the definitions.

Cosmic Sher (sherart) | 2234 comments What about when stuff happens that seems kinda half-assed but almost serendipitous? Where the gods have ADHD and keep bickering with one another so nothing really gets done? I think that's the universe I live in sometimes. :P

Michele bookloverforever (lovebooks14) | 1970 comments 30 yrs ago I am sitting in my lawyers office after a nasty custody battle, when she said,"Michele, there's this little group at the YWCA investigating the issue of domestic violence and I think you would be perfect for it...go see Lee Haskell,it will be mutually beneficial. several months later the Manchester Women's Crises was born and I was one of the founding members. It changed my life: not victim, but survivor.
