What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

i took a fantasy lit class a million years ago and read a book i absolutely loved. All i can really remember is the salmon swimming upstream throughout the whole book. It was very detailed and I think the narration was from the perspective of the salmon. The whole book wasn't just the salmon, though. There was a "normal story." There's a good possibility that it was a translation as were a lot of the books in that class. i can remember the name and author of every other book I read in that class except this one and it was my favorite! Old age, I guess. Please help!

Have you tried contacting the professor and asking if she/he remembers the title of the book?

Whoa, now you're really asking me to tax my memory! It's a great suggestion, but I have no recollection of the professor's name as it's been nearly 15 years since I've been to college.

I was basing the suggestion on my own experience, as it's 30 years since I headed off to college and I remember the names of my professors, especially the ones I particularly favored.

I have some of my favorites that I remember, too. Unfortunately, this one wasn't one of those. Thanks again!
