yes, I did. as an example. I prefer to use the term mentally challenged or developmentally or learning disabled.

I find myself quaeritating the substitution of "tea" for "tisane," especially when the latter is such a lovely word.

I can't believe that Unctuous is a dying word!! It's so perfectly descriptive of so many people.

sometimes words come to have sinister connotations (now that' a good word), like "intercontinental" for me "intercontinental" is forever associated with ballistic missiles as in ICBMs. not happy memories for someone who actually lived through the cuban missile crisis and remembers it well.
