California cows help Pacific Gas and Electric by supplying methane gas as an alternate source of energy. This meets California soon to be implemented regulations for companies to use a certain percentage of sources other than fossil fuels for energy. http://calcowelec.blogspot.com/2009/0...

Charles, i haven't read the article you posted yet, but it made me remember this article about a dogpoop-powered lamp in Cambridge, Mass.i have three dogs...i am sad that i waste their waste!
Actually, this is not an in depth scientific article but rather a blog of mine. It deals not only with methane and dairies for the production of electricity but also introduces my eco-thriller, Green Power, which develops a plot around this alternate source of electricity.
