Anita (a1momgram) Well boys and I went to the midnight showing of Deathly Hollows and let me say OMG it was the best movie of the series so far. Loved it and if they would have had Part 2 ready to watch I would have set there another 3 hours. The young stars of these films have grown so much.

Oh and I heard a couple of young men as we were leaving say " they were going to have to go read the book because they can't wait 8months to see what happens" so yea more books being read.

Josie | 1967 comments Hopefully going to see it very soon!!
JK Rowling's done a lot of good for the reading world, basically Harry Potter was where my love for books began and still read them even now :)

Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments Thanks for reporting in, Anita. That's great! And I'm jealous. Really looking forward to seeing it. Hate the split and the wait, but I guess I can understand wanting to do it up right.

I am only about 1/2 way thru reading the series.

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments The movie was AMAZING. I loved it. I am going back to see it again at the IMAX theater.

Charlotte (Buried in Books) | 557 comments I saw this on Friday, it was very good, but it was odd. I don't know how to explain it. It felt completely separate to the other movies (I guess because there was no Hogwarts)

The main thing that got to me, was all the way through up until now Harry had never backed away from using Voldemorts name - but in this movie he kept calling him "you know who", it didn't sit right me with me.

It's been a while since I read the books and it has made me want to go back and re-read them, guess I have 8 months to do it now!

I noted that and thought it was odd as well.

I enjoyed the film very much, but I'm not sure if I liked it more than the last one though. I'd forgotten most of the book, so I was surprised that it was slower paced than I had been expecting. I agree that the acting has improved though.

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I am guessing that the trace on the "voldemart" name was edited it out of the movie for some reason .... thus the reason Harry calling him "you know who" was unexplained.

Sandra | 25910 comments I've only just finished reading Deathly Hallows, 2 weeks ago, and it was Ron causing the fuss about Voldemort and practically made Harry say "you know who".

So if Harry backed away from saying it in the movie it was only because that's what he did in the book.
