Joanna (walker) | 433 comments This might be too far off base, but what about poetry that's written by and set in Israel (included on the map of Asia)? I'm thinking specifically of The Selected Poetry of Yehuda Amichai, but also asking generally about poetry for this task.

Since I found this about Amichai: Many of his poems are addressed to Jerusalem. Amichai's own life was closely linked to the birth and battle for existence of the State of Israel. and a look at the table of contents for this book seems to confirm that- this book would work.

Miriam Dlmrose, may the book be science fiction? I'm thinking of putting The Windup Girl in this category (its high on my TBR list), and my husband says the entire story takes place in Thailand (in the future).
