Carl I. | 608 comments Here is the deal, I do my own magazine called Sonic Ruin. It is a music 'zine, and has been print in the past. The 'zine went onto the back burner as my life started falling apart last year, and my interest in it started to die. I have kept it alive with it's online presence at www.sonicruin.com, but even that has been on life support.
Now, I had started deciding to turn it into a PDF only version, which would save me the printing costs. Some have told me to look into print on demand services, but my experience with those was hellacious in the past.
So, that brings me to the present, and my new found fascination with eReaders! This could be what saves me from finally putting the bullet in the head of my 'zine. So, I am asking for your help. I will send anybody who wants a copy, one (or all) of my back issues in the PDF format for you to check out on the eReader, and to tell me what I need to tweak. Yes, I will be getting my own eReader in the next few weeks, but I have enough material for my 4th issue of Sonic right now, and a few bands are awaiting me to release the thing. If I get positive feedback, I can hopefully have a test run ready to go by the time I have my eReader.
If you would like a copy to check out on your eReader, drop me a PM with your email info.
Thanks gang!

Greg | 1680 comments I've only used the automatic eReader on Goodreads. Would I need to download an eReader to read your magazine?

Carl I. | 608 comments I actually have no idea. LOL! Oh, and it seems the 'zine is too big in it's present state. 15MB, so I need to shrink it down before sending it.

Greg | 1680 comments Hmmm. Well maybe the PDF version is OK for me then! :)

Carl I. | 608 comments I plan to get into this over the next few days, as I have a little free time to dedicate towards figuring out how to shrink it down a tad.
