Erik Orrantia (captaineo70) | 19 comments Long time no hear, Nancy! I was wondering how you liked it...since I hadn't heard anything from you, I was afraid you hated it.

Nice to hear from you again! Regards!

Hi Erik. We've not met, but congratulations on this review. Whenever the term 'lyrical' is applied to a novel, I generally enjoy the reading and have just ordered your book.

I live in an ultra-conservative rural area so should be able to identify with the setting. Also, I have little experience with Mexican culture, except from the media (not a good source), a lack I have wanted to correct. Novels are a way when one cannot travel.

Looking at the book description and your bio on GR, I wonder if the book is a bit autobiographical.

Erik Orrantia (captaineo70) | 19 comments Thanks all! Can't wait to hear your comments.

Kernos, there are some autobiographical parts (and many hijacked from those close to me). I won't spoil it, though. But yes, I certainly hope you get the feel of traveling to rural Mexico by reading it.
