Ok, this maybe sounds silly, but, lately, I was surprised by the fact that I recently discover that I can combine two of the things that I love the most, Agatha Christie's books and... chocolates...
The other night, my lovely husband bring a little box (ok, maybe it was no little, in fact, it was huge) of chocolates, and, well, I don't know how, but, when the night ended I finished the book and I ate almost the entire box, but, ohhh, it was a perfect, chocolates and mistery :D
So, do you like to eat while reading, and, if you do, what do you like to eat?

Now I had the opposite happen. I usually eat the whole time I watch TV and then went through this phase where I just read over the weekend and I usually don't eat and read. I had lost 5 lbs. So, I stopped watching TV and just read. After a year, I lost 30 lbs. When I tell people that I lost weight by reading, they call me a liar :)

Wow, that is great =)
Well, sometimes I only drink a good cup of coffee while reading, and now that winter is here, is really good =)

Daga | 44 comments Carolyn F. that is so great. I think that giving up watching TV would help many people to loose weight. Keep reading!!!

When it comes to me, sometimes when I eat breakfast I try to read a bit but I get distracted by too many things, so I usually manage to read two-three pages and quit reading. But... I love to drink coffee and read. Actually I'm a coffee addict and a reading addict so I indulge myself when only I have time.

Ivana | 35 comments Eating chocolate or some cakes ,( I am very fond of sweets ), definitely goes with reading Agatha... And if there is a fine description of ''appealing meal'' or good vine, that's my kind of evening literature..... Well, one glass only, otherwise there is no point of reading!

Denis Joplin (denidax) YES!!!, I eat all the time when I'm reading, and my favourite thing to eat is also chocolate!... there's something magic in mystery books and chocolate together! ;o)

Helle (helleb) | 21 comments When I am at home reading, I usually don't eat, although I can think of exceptions involving a large bag of M&M's. But when I have a lunch break (at work) or go out to a restaurant alone, I will read while eating.

Helle (helleb) | 21 comments Drinking on the other hand, whether it's tea or wine, is an excellent combination with a book (imho).

message 14: by Myra Chandler (new)

Myra Chandler I will take a book to a restaurant and read. And I used to eat all of the time when I read at home, with the result that I packed on the pounds. So now the only thing I eat when I read is unbuttered popcorn.

Louise Culmer | 171 comments I don’t let eating stop me reading. I nearly always read while eating, unless I’ve got a guest or am out with someone. I don’t associate books with food particularly though because I read all the time.

Shalet Jimmy (shaletjimmy) | 4 comments I tried but failed miserably. I could not even read while I am travelling too.
