Here's a thing from Son of Neptune!
Annabeth leaned against the rail of the ship, staring hard into the fog. She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Piper smiling at her.
“Nervous?”
“More than a little.”
“Wanna talk about it?”
Annabeth took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “What if he still hasn’t gotten his memory back? What if being at that Roman camp has turned him into a totally different person?”
Piper squeezed her arm. “I haven’t met him, but I doubt that. Sure, he might be a little different, but I’m sure you two will get together again.”
“What if he met another girl and likes her better?”
Piper pulled away. “You mean like how Jason met me?”
Annabeth looked guilty. “Well, yes. Jason certainly remembers you much better than any girl from the Roman camp. What if Percy is the same way?”
Piper looked at her, then gave her a one-armed hug around the shoulders. “We’ll just have to see, won’t we?”
“See what?” Jason had come up behind them.
Piper blushed. “Nothing.” Jason joined them at the rail, staring into the fog with his brow wrinkled.
“I bet we would be able to see it by now if it weren’t for this fog.”
“Will you still be able to find it?” Annabeth asked, worry evident in her grey eyes.
“Probably, as long as--” He was broken off by a huge wave that came out of nowhere and almost tossed all three of them off the deck.
“Where did that come from?” Piper gasped.
“I don’t know—HOLD ON!” Jason yelled as they were hit by another wave. When Piper looked back at Annabeth, she saw that her eyes were wide with something more than fear. It almost looked like recognition. Then she pointed out into the distance.
“Look!” It was a humongous water spout, wider than should have been possible, and it was headed straight for their ship.
“Leo!” Jason shouted as he ran towards the helm, where Leo was steering, white-knuckled.
“I know!” Leo yelled back.
“How can this be happening? It was perfectly calm a moment ago!” Piper yelled to Annabeth over the roar of water.
“Percy! It’s got to be! Only a son of Poseidon could do something like this. Plus, I recognize his style.” They were thrown to the deck as Leo turned the ship as sharply as he could. When Annabeth stood up, she immediately went rigid, staring off into the distance.
“What is it, Annabeth?”
“I see him.” Piper looked and saw, surprisingly close, a cliff looming out of the fog. A figure stood on top of it. From this distance, all she could tell was that he was wearing a purple shirt and was holding his arms out dramatically. Then another wave came, knocking both girls into the ocean.
Piper bobbed up first. When Annabeth came up, she began shouting.
“Percy, stop! It’s us!” Piper could no longer see the figure on the cliff.
“Annabeth, there’s no way he could hear us from here.” Piper struggled to tread water. She was normally a decent swimmer, but this water was acting very oddly. A minute later, another huge wave picked both of them up. It held them for so long that Piper was completely disoriented as she fought the urge to take a breath.
Then they slammed into hard ground. Piper gasped for breath, then looked up to see a pair of dirty sneakers right in front of her face. She slowly raised her head to see a young man, about the same age as Annabeth, staring down at her with sea-green eyes. She recognized him from a picture in Chiron’s office.
“Percy Jackson?” she asked. He looked surprised.
“Percy!” Annabeth said, her voice so high it was almost a squeal.
“Um, do I know you?” Piper looked over to see instant disappointment cross Annabeth’s face. She watched her scramble to her feet, her face reddening.
“Seaweed Brain, if you are joking, I’m going to strangle you.”
A look of alarm crossed his face. “No, I’m not joking. I really don’t know who you are. But—“ He was interrupted by a cough behind him.
“What, exactly, was that stunt for?” Jason said, his arms crossed. Anger crossed Percy’s face and he raised his hand again.
“Get away from here, or I’ll drown all of you.”
“Oh, really?” Jason smiled as he raised his own hand.
“Jason, don’t! This is Percy Jackson!” Piper pleaded. Jason kept his hand raised, but some of the anger left his face.
“Will somebody please tell me who you guys are and how you know my name?” Percy demanded, his hand still raised.
“We’re friends of yours, well at least I am,” Annabeth said. “You just don’t remember me because Hera erased your memory six months ago when she brought you here.”
“Oh, good.” Percy looked very relieved. Then suspicion crossed his face.
“How do I know that you’re not lying to me?”
Annabeth stepped closer, and Percy stepped back. “Don’t I look at all familiar to you? Does the name Annabeth ring a bell? How about our shirts? Doesn’t it seem like you’ve seen them before?” Percy studied her for a few moments.
“Hmm. Well, now you mention it . . .” His gaze reached Annabeth’s eyes he stopped talking. His mouth fell open a little bit, and Piper was afraid he would start drooling.
“I have definitely seen those eyes before.” Percy almost stepped forward, but Jason’s arm blocked him.
“Sorry to break this up, guys, but we are in a bit of a hurry. Plus, Leo is probably wondering what in the world is going on. Can you show the girls to the camp, Percy?”
Percy snapped out of his daze and looked at Jason incredulously. “Dude, I’m supposed to be guarding the camp. I can’t just walk in with two total strangers and say that one of them looks strangely familiar!”
Jason sighed. “Fine. I guess Leo will just have to wait. I’ll come with you.”
“And how is that any different?”
“They’ll know me. I’m Jason Grace. Surely they’ve mentioned me to you?”
Percy wasn’t impressed. “Riight. And I’m supposed to just believe this?”
Jason smiled and took out his coin, flipping it so it turned into a spear. Percy pulled Riptide out of his pocket, but Jason raised the spear and called down lightning. The strike knocked all three of the others back so far that Piper slipped off the cliff. Jason shouted and rushed to the edge but Percy beat him, diving off the edge more quickly than should have been possible.
“Whoops.” Jason said sheepishly.
Annabeth shook her head. “Smooth, Jason. Real smooth.” His shoes were smoking. A few minutes later, a wave drenched them and Percy was standing by them again, perfectly dry and holding up a coughing Piper.
“Sorry, Piper.”
She straightened up and Percy let go of her. “Whatever, Jason. As long as you made your point.” They looked expectantly at Percy, who looked uncomfortable.
“Well, I guess you must be Jason. But are you sure you want to go back? Nobody was very happy about you disappearing.” He gave Jason a significant look.
“Thanks, Percy, but I think I can handle it.” Jason turned around and started walking inland.
“A bit touchy, don’t you think?” Percy remarked to the girls. Piper rolled her eyes, but Annabeth smiled.
“Nice to see you again, Seaweed Brain.”
Annabeth leaned against the rail of the ship, staring hard into the fog. She felt a hand on her shoulder and turned to see Piper smiling at her.

That's what I said when I first read it. And I also told the person who posted it that they were evil for showing me that practically a whole year before Son of Neptune comes out.

I don't know where she got it. She said it was official and she's good at finding stuff like this.
Allie gave us an excerpt of the son of neptune (lost hero2). We were wondering how Allie's friend got this information.
I found out where she got it! And I swear I didn't know this when I read/posted it! She got it from her brain! I didn't even know that! I thought she copied and pasted it from a website or something.
Yeah! I swear I had no idea that she did. I totally thought she got it from somwhere else. Isn't freaking awesome though?
No it hasn't. I just messed up on who actually wrote it. It really did sound like it really came from the book.
If your whole life is a lie....
Then wouldn't your name be a lie? Or the fact your a ninja? Is that a lie? Hmmm?
