Huzzah for more Capricorns! Isn't it fantastic to have a birthday right around Martin Luther King Day? I love always getting a three day weekend.

I do love the MLK bday weekend. Always great for extra long celebrations.

Since my birthday is October 24, just one week before Halloween, I have always considered it to be the official kick-off to the holiday season.

And Stacie, even though only one day is considered "Val's Day", I start talking about it and counting down shopping days on October 1. I LOVE me some birthday!

My son's birthday is the day before Halloween (less than 2 hours from having a Halloween bday) and we consider it the kick-off to the holidays too. :-)

Of course, my youngest was born in the middle of Sept (on 'Talk Like a Pirate Day'), so we may have to bump it up a bit.
