Well, I liked the book in the way it was written but no, I hated Gray.

Catherine Coulter has some jerky heroes. Sorry can't remember the books.
Also, Clint is Lora Leigh's Dangerous Games was a jerk IMHO.

these are some I've come across:
Derek Taggert from Kept
Danny Taggert from Unleashed
Ross Coleman from Sunset Embrace
Nick Allegrazza from Truly Madly Yours
John Kowalsky from Simply Irresistible
Luke McRae from The Love Of A Cowboy
Caleb Black from Only His
Wolfe Lonetree from Only Mine
Matt Fenner from Sweet Trouble
Russ Calloway from Intimate Enemy
Reese Barnett from The Sheriff'S Surrender : Heartbreak Canyon (Silhouette Intimate Moments No. 1069)
Alex Markov from Kiss an Angel
I definitely agree with you about Wolfe and Alex, Othena. They were real jerks, but I love those books!

Declan Chase from

And Stryker, the #1 villian in the Dark-Hunters, got his own book,

Clayton was a real jerk! I wanted to bash his head in too many times to count. but I did love him and the book anyways :)

Declan Chase from

I agree! I disliked him so much I had to quit reading the book!!! I had to put

down for a while because Devyn was such a conceited, arrogant jerk I didn't think he (or the story) was redeemable. He was (just barely) and it was, tho.

I'm having a jerky withdrawl!! Please help.. Lol

Declan Chase from

He was pretty bad at first....So is Lothaire, can't wait to see how he redeems himself!

I haven't read the other books listed, but I wonder if some of those listed have more of a mean streak than just plain alpha jerkiness. I didn't really see that in Lochlain, but maybe that's just me. . .

He is a meanie for sure, Mean Enough to kill the female lead! I really enjoyed this one also!

I discovered Gena Showalter last year and I'm definetly going to read her Alien Huntress series. I'm glad to see them on the list.
Lora Leigh's H's can be jerky. I'd recommend her Breed series but they do need to be read in order.
*warning they are not for those who don't like explicit sex*
I thought of another historical to add to the jerk list.

So far I've read her Lords of the Underworld and a few of her contemporarys. I got the Atlantis series for Christmas.
I hope I live long enough to read all the books I want to read. I need to find me a vamp and see if he'll turn me...problem solved. ha :)

I also stopped reading it for months, but I did make myself pick it back up and finished it. Still hated him even at the end. Lol :)

I love Lora Leigh! I have never ready her beeds, but I have ready almost all of her others. They can be jerks :)

The Breeds are great. I resisted reading them because on paper they didn't sound like something I would like. I was so wrong. I love them.

I'm usually more into the paranormal books but this one was AMAZING!! The hero was a TOTAL jerk! The story is one I have never read before! This book gave me so many emotions! 5 stars!

I agree!
Also, the hero Royce from A Kingdom of Dreams was pretty jerky throughout the beginning towards the end, and he does redeem himself, but slightly, in my opinion.
