Shay (shaylyn318) I am thinking of a book I read when I was younger. I don't remember the title or author. The girls name was Zoe. Her mother named her after a dead girl(she saw the name on a headstone) Later the girl Zoe befriends the ghost she was named after.

I put Stonewords: A Ghost Story on my to-read list, and there also seems to be a sequel, Zoe Rising.

I like time-travel or time-slip novels and from the description, this novel does sound promising. The description reminds me a bit of one of my favourite ghost/time travel stories when I was young, The Ghosts by Antonia Barber.
