Amber Hoxit (clove311) | 43 comments Hey guys, I've been looking around and haven't seen anything that fits this yet, so I thought I'd ask the experts. I recently went through a terrible breakup, and I'd like to read a book thats along that story line, (Think New Moon-Twilight) I don't want the story to have a happy ending though, and I want to see how they either cope with the breakup or fight to be together. I'd like it to be paranormal romance preferably but I'm not picky. Thanks in advance, I know you'll come up with something!

Megan (meganannaz) | 21 comments Fallen is a tricky book to talk about without given away the best part of the story so I am going to say try it if you need a book that is kind of Twight-ish but with no happy ending yet in sight (I have only read book one and I am waiting to get book two). Also try Jeanine Frost Night Huntress Series- There is a bad breakup part in the series somewhere.

Angel Mochulla (bluexeyedxangel) | 17 comments ok sooo a book i really liked, and normally i love the happy endings but.... the first book doesnt really have that sooo. try the book leaving paradise. its romantic but different. in a good way. but seriously girl, you just had a break up and it sucks but when me and my boyfriend of two years broke up there was one series that kept me alive and it was black dagger brotherhood series.... but its definitely vampire hunks and like totally different story from twilight but so much better! and its complicated throughout till the end but its like a sarcastic funny romantic book. with lots of ups and downs and will have you smiling in no time at all. honest!! check them out.

Amber Hoxit (clove311) | 43 comments I usually love PNR and I adored the black dagger bros, but right now I just cannot read about one more person finding that forever kind of love that has apparently evaded me once again. I'd rather read about someone in my position, who has to deal with whats happened instead of kissing butt and making it all better lol. Thanks so much for the suggestions, I've already read Fallen and The Night Huntress Series, but not the other ones so I'll definitely check them out.

new_user | 1389 comments You may want to try Ann Aguirre's Grimspace series, off the top of my head. There's sort of a break-up. Anyways, it's pretty grim, so it might be what you're looking for, LOL.

Thomara Briscoe I will say That burned by ellen Hopkins isn't really about a girlfriend boyfriend relationship but trust me it is a very good book and i will admit the ending is horrible. In a good way thugh. Another One is Impulse also by Ellen hopkins. Ellen hopkins has some very good books I recomend her books.

*Mrs. Brightside* Impulse is an amazing book.

Tracey | 15 comments Ok, it’s not paranormal, and light on the romance. However, this book was amazing.

The Book Thief

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Kat | 12 comments How about Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr, it's not exactly a happy ending but it's a good one.
