Lissy, I really liked the way you went outside the box, and used cages to express death. It was thrilling the way that how you said although everybody thought you were dead, you knew you still were alive in a way. You inspired me for a poem I wrote... Congrads!
As for the others... I also applaud everybody else for their gret poems, and that they actually have entered. Please dont hesitate on entering the next contest too! I really enjoyed reading them...

k, since I had 2 enteries, it was a tough decisison... I'll review both;
Stef, I loved the fact that you entered with a love themed writing. Sad, but hope fills the reader at the same time. Filled with pain. Me liky! I felt as if I was reading greek mythology/fiction stories, of a girl who has to get married, but lost her love, and when getting married her true love energes, epic! I only read the 1st chapter since it was a 'short story contest' btw, but loved it.
As for Kate, again, great usage of romance! Made my heart beat... What I liked about it the most is that it really fits in my day dreams that I know thatll never come true, but are so close to reality. I also liked the way you first gave out his characteristic elements of Ben. In the end, the reader finishes the story knowing you had an ending that is close to 'and they lived happily ever after' Wierd thing, once there was this boy I had a huge crush named Ben, I hope this isnt the same one:)
