UPDATED 4/13/15
I completed the original 80-day challenge on April 3 with 11 authors representing 9 countries of birth. I'd initially set a goal of Silver 8-12 books, and was pleasantly surprised to end up in the Gold range.
I will continue to track this beyond the original 80 days as I "visit" more countries. I'm curious how many I might end up with by year's end. :)

Like Laventeli, I also realize this thread is pretty dead! but I'm gonna try it anyway. But I wanna go for PLATINUM! 13+ in 80 days? no sweat... I hope. The hardest part is gonna be finding 13 or so books by foreign authors. (That will keep my interest...you never know with me (or should I say "I never know with me") ((does anyone even look at this thread anymore?))) I've got some good suggestions though and just in case anyone out there is paying any attention I'll give an update as soon as I start. I guess I just got excited about this challenge hehe. Maybe it was that second glass of cabernet...
