Arminius Do any of the ebook readers on here use the Novel Network? If so, do you like it?

Arminius No, I am using Barnes & Noble to load my Nook and I am happy with them.

But I came across the novel network. It costs $50 to join but they say you get unlimited books.

It won't let me preview their stock of ebooks and I do not want to fork out $50 and be disappointed.

So I was wondering if anyone else uses Novel Network and what their opinion was on them.

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments did some checking and it seems like the only books that are available are classics that are already free elsewhere for nothing. not many new authors or titles. so far no good reviews that were not written by the site itself. think i'll pass

Kevin, have you looked to see if there's anything she'd be interested in on Project Gutenberg? All free and legal.

I saw a book today from an academic press that was $19.95 paperback, same for e-book perpetual ownership, $10 for e-book 120 day ownership. I guess that might be a good pricing model for someone who's writing a paper within a set time frame and wouldn't want the book after that.
