Agreed. This game is gonna be hell on my TBR. :P I've already mooched Silken Savage.

I can't wait to add some GOOD ones to my TBR. That is why I thought of this game in the 1st place.
BTW, I can't imagine any BR reader not loving SILKEN SAVAGE so I just want to add, SUMMER STORM follows it and it, too, is VERY good in my opinion...not as good as SILKEN SAVAGE, but a don't want to miss read in any case. So, maybe you ought to mooch that one too Karla, because I'm pretty certain you'll enjoy both. And it's good to read back to back.
Just a suggestion. :)

Creeker, since you said you want to read SILKEN SAVAGE, I think you will really like SUMMER STORM too, which like I said, follows.

"He thrust his stiffness into her.
Only years of self-discipline prevented her from crying out in agony. She gripped his shoulders tightly, hoping that this was all there was to “taking” someone, hoping he would not move.
[Hero] began to thrust, his body rocking back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. She held her body rigid against his assault. With each implement, more of her fantasy crumbled to dust. The pain brought tears to her eyes, but she would never shed them. She put the knuckles of one hand to her mouth to keep from crying out. The other hand pushed weakly against his chest. It could not be like this.
[She] felt his body stiffen and heard him groan. Finally, he lay still on top of her. She felt relief course through her body and relaxed for the first time he’d entered her. She stroked his shoulder gently, kindly, wanting the same from him. It had been so brutal! If only he would whisper a tender word… if only he would say her name, then she could overlook his roughness.
He shrugged off her hand and put his face close to her ear.
She knew he would say it now, knew he would whisper her name softly to her
“Slut,” he said scornfully."

Thanks Sharon! I added them. I also added Sweet Fury It looked like it would be a good one to.

Lady Gallant, Forever and a Lifetime, and Midnight Surrender are all close guesses.

The Angel and the Prince by O'Donnell

Here's mine
Heroines back was on fire. The second lash had drawn blood and she could feel the wetness seeping into the waist of her torn bodice. Never in her wildest imaginings did she dream anything could hurt so badly. When the third lash fell she began seriously considering her death and what Hero would do when he returned and found her dead at the villans hands.
Yep I like my beatings :P

In my mind's eye I can see that hateful woman who had ordered the whipping on the H's mistress while he was off galavanting somewhere for a week or so with no clue...

"Get away from that horse slave"...where you trying to escape?" Her voice was almost drowned out by the whine of the whip as it lashed toward _____ (heroine) once more.
The leather wound itself around _____ (heroine's) arm and back, cutting into her tender flesh. With a hiss of pain, _____ (heroine) grabbed the thong and held it firmly."...
Ok Creeker, this one is especially for you :)

Right author, wrong title.... (clues)
1. Title is in Post #66
2. You are mooching it
3. It is 1st in a series
Good clues?
oh em gee....Silken Savage? :D
Wow, two scenes like that from the same book? When oh when will it get here??!??!?

YOU GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your turn :)
OK, here's a more innocent one (and that's a hint) And this book is full of awesome little scenes like this...
The evening meal was a quiet one, for (minor characters) were still abed or did not seem inclined to conversation. I bid them good night immediately the meal was finished, and went up the stairs to my bedchamber.
Bemused and abstracted, I closed the door behind me and lit my candle. I still by the press for a moment, staring at my reflection in the wavering glass, seeing (2nd character)'s pale face instead of my own.
"You are far too lovely to frown at your mirror so bitterly."
I whirled around, stunned, to see (hero) stretched across my bed, so insolently at his ease that one might have thought he belonged there.
"You are daft," I whispered; then, "What are you doing in my bed?"
"I'm not daft," he replied lazily, "and I find your bed far more comfortable than that hard chair by the fire. Waiting for a lass is a dull affair at best, and I thought it only fair to take my ease as I found it."
"You are daft," I repeated inanely. "What if someone finds you here?"
"You've been disgraced long since," he said. "I'll wager no one would be too surprised to find you entertaining a man in your bedchamber." He swung his boots to the floor. "Don't look so anxious. I'll not be discovered unless one of the (family) walks in unannounced, and surely you don't allow such unseemly license."
"That door leads to (2nd character)'s apartment," I said, "and she walks where she pleases in _____ House."
"Not in the next few minutes," he said calmly, "else she is more expert than I think at faking a sound sleep."
"She is not necessarily asleep. She spends hours in her bed when she has no intention of sleeping."
"All alone?" (hero) said. "What the devil does she do?"

Hum, this one doesn't ring any bells at all. Going to have to do a search...
I read it very recently, so that's a hint. :-)

Thanks for the hint, I'll get back on track now :) with my search...

Ding ding ding, Jeanine! :D
Youse guys, it's HTF but not super-expensive. Definitely worth a look if you can get hold of it.
