You got that right! Marna was like reading about the Clampett's before they made it to Beverly Hills.
Oh goody. *rubs hands* Lots to look forward to. :D
Found one...it's from a historical fiction book (Hint: from my favorite series), not a bodice ripper, but it's got a great scene I've always loved where one of the main characters disposes of his stepmother:
Starved for him, __________ offered her lips greedily. And was standing, her mouth glued to his, her feet up on their toes, when he broke her neck. It was so easy. Snap. Probably she never even knew, for he could see no hint of knowledge in her staring eyes when his hand pushed her head back to meet his other hand keeping her back straight, a movement as fast as a blow. Easy. Snap. The sound traveled, it was so sharp, so clear-cut on its edges. And as he released her, expecting her to sink to the ground, she rose up even higher on her toes and began to dance for him, arms akimbo, head lolling obscenely, jerks and hops and staccato heaves which culminated in her twirling round and round before she fell in a tangle of elbows and knees, ugly, utterly ungainly. The warm acrid smell of voided urine curled up to meet his distended nostrils then, and after it, the heavier stench of voided bowels.
He didn't scream. He didn't leap away. He enjoyed it all immensely, and while she danced for him, he watched in fascination, and when she fell, he watched in revulsion.
"Well, ________," he said, "you died no lady."

Have you read the book it's from?

No, I don't believe I have. I surely would have remembered a corpse dancing around after her neck was broken...(seen too many chickens with their necks wrung, rattle snakes with their heads chopped off and how their bodies don't give up the ghost) so it isn't hard to envision your entire scene playing out.
I'm thinking that maybe we could start a new game - or - turn this game into one where we post great scenes and include the book title so others can find new books they want to try...don't know how we'd rotate who goes next....doesn't look like we've garnered much interest in this game considering the rise in numbers of our members here.../
Nope. Takes place MANY MANY MANY years before that. (MANY MANY MANY MANY...)
Yes! And it's the first book - The First Man in Rome. Sulla dispatches Clitumna, after getting rid of his nephew and then he goes on to kill his mistress. Nice guy...AND I LOVE HIM!
The crease part between belly and bush? You got me.
OK, I cheated and googled some phrases from that little gem and the result doesn't surprise me. :D
CONNIE MASON! (And I have this one too. Sweet!)

read like this too. Oh, she's a treasure.

I actually started to read it this past summer, but got distracted. Didn't start out too bad - at least I don't recall getting bitchslapped by backstory, which seems to be Johanna Lindsey's M.O. *sigh*
I'm all about scened out. I don't think I have any more I can think of off-hand!

Finding the scenes where the hardest for me and took to much time from my horrible busy schedule :P. I would look and look and look. i like it, it's fun but time consuming lol. But I like your idea Sharon, about posting good scenes from books that others may want to look into. Great Idea IMO.

I have a busy schedule too, but I seem to be stuck to this damn computer these days - reading along on this post - and thinking of all the GOOD stuff I've read and want to read again.
I thought of the idea because I feel like I'm standing in the out field and nobody is hitting the ball hard enough to reach me, and I WANT TO PLAY dammit. But, I'm finding some good stuff here, and I will be searching for it (if I can ever get away from my computer :->

"The heel of his palm rested lightly on the smooth pink mound at the apex of her thighs, massaging in erotic circles...."
BTW, when I read this, the first thing I thought of was she had a full bladder
@Karla, it wasn't a BR?? I would give anything for a hero/villain to be that devious in a BR. LOL :)

It almost seems to me, that the hero/villain in Captive Flame was that bastardly. It felt as if the heroine's affection to him, was an afterthought. A "Oh, why the hell not?" LMAO
