Mary (mlasse) So...I need some help determining the author and name of a mystery series.

All I know is that the series is written by a female author from Australia, and that the books all have distinct covers (i.e. if you were to see the spine in a shop or a library, you'd immediately associate the book with this series).

It's likely that this series is also quite mainstream in its popularity. For example, it would be well-known enough to be nominated for book club reads or to be recommended among avid readers.

I know that's not much to go on, but I wondered if TNBBC members might be able to send me in the right direction with some ideas for any series that fit the aforementioned (and admittedly vague) information.

My apologies if this particular folder isn't the best place for this discussion thread. I'm relatively new to the discussion board aspect of GR.

Thanks!
Mary

There is a group on here that specializes in remembering book titles.... but I cannot for the life of me recall it's name...

Something like - "what was that book called"....

They are really good, and might be able to help you!

Mary (mlasse) Thanks, Lori!

I thought I remembered seeing a group like that, but I couldn't remember the name, either! Kind of like how I totally forgot the name of this series! Ha!

Ah, the irony of life...

The Phryne Fisher series by Kerry Greenwood?

Mary (mlasse) Ooh, this is a definite possibility, Shay!

I had a friend who told me about the series, so I'll run the name by her and see what she says.

Thanks for the lead!

Jane | 221 comments Kerry Greenwood has also written another - the Corinna Chapman series. The main character owns a bakery. I don't remember the covers being that distinctive though.

Mary (mlasse) Thanks, Jane! I'll check on that series, too!

Tina If the books are set in Australia, check the Location Index at stopyourkillingme.com.

Here's a link to Australia:

Mary (mlasse) Thanks, Tina and Joseph!

I'll have to check that website.

Heather L (wordtrix) SYKM is a good site to bookmark. I also recommend subbing to their newsletter.

The GR book search group is What's The Name of That Book???.

I would also recommend the Cozy Mysteries group. I know there are a couple Aussies in the group, and they might be able to help. Scroll down about halfway to the "Find a book or series" section to post your query.

Mary (mlasse) Awesome! Thanks, Heather!
