Kathy R's 2011 List

This one is a reread, but I'm counting it as I read it all the way through. I had to refresh my memory before reading the new one.

Oh my, I haven't thought about this author for a long time! She was a favorite in my late teens - about a hundred years ago. I remember reading Jamaica Inn, Rebecca, Frenchmen's Creek, The King's General but not the House on the Strand. I may have to walk down "memory lane!" Thanks for jogging my memory.

Carol, I had only read Rebecca until recently. I thought I would give some of du Maurier's other novels a try. I've now read Jamaica Inn and The House on the Strand. What did you think of Frenchmen's Creek and The King's General?

I loved this wonderful children's book about writing!

Kathy, I read them so long ago I really can't even really remember the plots or characters well. I just know that enjoyed them, and I think that I will do some re-reads. Thank you for reminding me of this author although as I read through the messages today I saw her mentioned at least two more times. Masybe there will be a Daphne du Maurier revival!

Balliett is such a clever writer. Love all her young adult books!

This book was a reread, but I am counting it, as I did read the whole book again. I wanted to refresh my memory before moving on to the sequel.
