College Students! discussion

My overall goal was to read an average of one book per week, but now I think I want to change it to 80 books since I read 74 in 2010. Ideally, I'd love to hit 100, but we'll see. I also want to read 36 Books I Own (BIO) from before 2011, 12 YA 2011 Debut books, & at least 6 non-fiction (since I usually avoid these).

1. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher (4*)

This was a thought-provoking book, a very tragic look into the reasons why someone would commit suicide. It took me a while to get used to the format, but once I did, it was quite powerful.

2. Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer (3.5*)

I was shocked with how much this book impacted me. No, I did not commit to be a vegetarian, but I finished it a couple days ago & still can't get myself to eat meat. That's saying something. I know I won't hold out forever, probably not even until the end of the week, but I have decided to make some changes in my eating habits. This book was very informative, & I would definitely recommend it!

3. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand (4.5*)
This was such a fun book! It almost had more of a magical realism feel to it than a paranormal fantasy. It was well written (IMO) & I loved the characters. I definitely have a new literary crush!
