I tried searching the group's archive to see if this issue has been discussed before, but didn't manage to find anything.

There's a curious search problem - when you search for a book by its translated title, you get zero search results.
When the translated version exists in bookreads database, shouldn't the search display the main edition of the book (with which the translation is merged)?

(In this particular case I searched for "Mechaniczna pomarańcza" which is a Polish translation of Clockwork Orange. I added and merged the edition myself some time ago, but now wanted to look something up and I thought I'd use search as a shortcut to the book. Obviously, it didn't work.)

Clouddancer, that definitely sounds like a problem! You should report this as a bug in the Goodreads Feedback group.
