umm... no, because if someone's parents wont allow them on the group because theres a topic just for swearing, that wouldnt be fair to them, even if they never go in it. it was a good idea though JBF, just... not perfect. sorry.

it has to do with ur eyes. u know how the image gets flipped when it enters ur eyes? well, ur brain sees it as right side up, so since the image is flipped, the ground is actually up. ^^

Keara (kearachristine) No, your eyes see things upside-down and backwards, and then your brain fixes it. The ground is down. Plus - if it were up - we would be walking on the sky, which ISN'T POSSIBLE!

no, we're still walking on the ground. we're just upside down. i've had this theory going ever since i realized that the eye flipped the images. my point is, the brain sees everything as right side up and right and everything. shows mind over matter. but doesn't it make sense that the ground is up, based on the fact that our eyes flip the image?

Keara (kearachristine) NO! The ground is DOWN. Our eyes see it upside down and backwards. Then our brains flip it correct. SO if it WAS up, then our brains would see it up - because our eyes would see it upside down and backwards.

Okay the answer is that the brain corrects the image. The eye sees it upsidedown and the brain goes WTF that's totally wrong FLIP!

hmm... well... since we can still launch off into space (assuming those moon landings and such wernt just one ginormous hoax of the govt) you would have to assume that there is an escape hatch somewhere for the space craft XD the world COULD be flat, i suppose... but as people have sailed all the way around the globe (at GREAT personal risk, i might add) it would need to be a tube. ha! the world is therefore in the shape of a toilet-paper tube, and we live on the inside! THAT is how they get rockets into space XD they launch them into the air and then they go out the ends of the tube ^^

Interesting theory... But then how do you describe the pictures of earth from space? The fact that you can see stars (or at least the night sky) from everywhere above ground on earth?

umm... persicopical vision. and the pictured from space are a hologram set up by the... *thinks* a collaboration of the multiple space agencies of the world. see, the earth is actually a few days ahead of where the hollogram appears to be, to throw off aliens that might wish to invade. ((lol, im gonna get a great story out of this, at least XD))
