So, Orson Scott Card has begun a new series, starting with The Lost Gate. I just finished Bitter Seeds, having not read it when it was the group book, and needed something new to read, when the Goodreads Newsletter introduced this to me.
So far, the pacing and the tone of the book have been a little off, and I think I might be slightly older than the target audience of the series, which could be a contributing factor. However, the simple integration/inclusion of Norse mythology is enough to keep me plodding on to see if things improve or not.
Anyone else drawn into books simply because it incorporates mythos/ideas that fascinate them? Anyone else picked up this series yet?
