It was my flower book as well and I enjoyed it. Now I have another series to read!

I'm also reading it as my flower book, almost finished and enjoying it.

I know a lot of members of this group really enjoyed it, but I couldn't get into it. I liked the writing and the way most of the characters were portrayed. What annoyed me was the way Abby got involved in everything. Someone had commented that as she was reading, she got tired of the other characters telling Abby to stop meddling. I felt like I wanted to join them. That said, I haven't totally ruled out reading more in this series; I probably just won't read the next book anytime in the near future.

I didn't enjoy it that much either, but don't give up on the series yet. The rest of the books are better and more interesting than

I'm glad to hear the series gets better. I'll add Slay It With Flowers to my humongously long TBR list.

I originally read for the pink book cover, but then it changed to a blue cover with flowers! So I am using that for the flowers and reading for the pink cover!

I just finished Deeply, Desperately by Heather Webber. I've really enjoyed this series so far!

I also just finished Mum's the Word . I have heard a lot about this series and was a little disappointed. I am glad to hear that the series gets better as it goes along.

I had the same reaction as Donna to Abby. She just put herself into too many bad situations. I will read the next book in the series and hope for a little character improvement!

Finished Mum's the Word, I liked it. I wasn't as annoyed with Abby as I was with her mother.
Now on to my last book Dying in Style.

Finished my February challenge last night. I read Mum's the Word and Murder of a Real Bad Boy and enjoyed them both.

Oh no. Just went to the library today. Cannot find Mary Ellen Hughes anywhere.(not even in the large library 30 mile away from my address) Checked out a couple cozys from other authors but none have the right colored cover. Wished I would have read this prior to the library trip. UGH.

Karen - do any of them have different editions with different covers? I know people who have used different editions to fill colour requirements in challenges in other groups.

My colours are usually odd as the UK covers (when there is a UK edition) are usually completely different to the US ones. Like:









Most groups are okay with switching editions (it is the same book after all) as long as you can include a pic of the cover.

Finished Love is Murder for my pink/red cover. Now reading A Hoe Lot of Trouble. Since I love her Lucy Valentine mysteries, I decided to read this earlier series by the same author.

I finally finished the theme reads for Flowers: by Kate Collins and for the Red/Pink cover I read by Karen E. Olsen. I really liked them both and will continue with both series. It was a really short month for me.
