Elke, thanks so much for the great recs. I will probably go with Soulless and if I can fit it in, For One More Day.

I already read The Viscount Who Loved Me- it was great (5*) and I loved the whole series. The other one you suggested for a buddy read is the 2nd in a series so not sure if I should jump in there. If there is anything else you are planning to read this month, let me know and maybe I can join you :)

Cassie (casswish) Thanks for the picks Megan!

message 213: by Cassie (new)

Cassie (casswish) Alright, Lady Leah! Here are your picks!

A. Out With the Old
1. Nevermore by Kelly Creagh
2. Eve of Samhain by Lisa Sanchez
3. Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon Sorry it's another big one, but it was the only book on your TBR that I have read, and it's my favorite! I love Jamie and Claire!

B. In with the New
1. Book of Shadows (Sweep, #1) by Cate Tiernan Currently 15 books in the series, and they're relatively small and quick to read, and I love the series so far! I've read up to 6 so far.
2. If You Could See Me Now by Cecelia Ahern Love this book!
3. November of the Heart by LaVyrle Spencer I didn't see any LaVyrle Spencer on your shelf. This was the first romance novel I can remember read, the only one that actually made me cry, and I keep my copy close so I can reread it

Go It Alone or With Someone
Real Murders (Aurora Teagarden, #1) by Charlaine Harris
The Fire Lord's Lover (The Elven Lords, #1) by Kathryne Kennedy

I am feeling very indecisive--so multiple recommendations this month
Out with the Old
1. Pile of Books. Of the top five longest books in your TBR, The Name of the Wind is the highest rated. I've never heard of the author but I have read Absolute Power many years ago and remember it being a good read, not necessarily a great book.

2. Mt. TBR Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood I think this is the first graphic novel I read that wasn't a comic book.

3. Steadily Gaining: Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake I read this for January's Pick It For Me challenge and enjoyed it. OR Go ahead and read my favorite Jodi Picoult My Sister's Keeper It's the first one of hers I read and I cried and cried.

In With the New
1. I love Julia Quinn and can't believe you haven't read any. I love What Happens in London
2. My most recent 5 star is Every Last One. It is a very disturbing book to read--it kept me awake and I couldn't stop talking about it but it is beautifully written.
3. I see you have some memoir. Try Here If You Need Me: A True Story

Buddy Books
There are three on your list that are also on mine that I could read this month Blood Bound,Poison Study and Dragon Actually. I love the title of the book on your TBR I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You

Pam,

Thanks for the great picks. I'm going to start with Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake cuz it's available at the library. I put holds on Dragon Actually and Blood Bound, too, but I'm not sure if I'll get either one this month. I really want to read Blood Bound though so if you're game to buddy read it this month, I'll make sure I have a copy somehow by mid-month!

B. In With the New

2. Reaching the Summit-Covet by J.R. Ward.
3. It's All Downhill from Here-Storm Born by Richelle Mead. I REALLY enjoy all of her books.

Melinda (craftymommy) | 766 comments Hello Katie!

Here are my picks for you - I hope you like them.

A. OUT WITH THE OLD
1. Pile O' Books: Lover Awakened by JR Ward {It's 434 pages long and Zsadist is my favorite brother}
2. Mt. TBR: Banpaia by A.J. Llewellyn {I wasn't sure what to pick for this category; I ended up arranging your TBR by rating and picking the highest rated book under 100 pages}
3. Steadily Gaining: Gentlemen Prefer Succubi by Jill Myles {this one is a cute and light and quick read}

B. IN WITH THE NEW
1. Cresting the Rise: Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh {amazing and interesting world building; and hot shifters!}
2. Reaching the Summit: Grimspace by Ann Aguirre {the last book I gave 5 stars to was Killbox, which is book 4 in this series. Grimspace is book 1. I don't normally read sci-fi type books, but I have been enjoying the Sirantha Jax series.}
3. It's All Downhill from Here: Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost {I didn't see this author on your read shelf and I've enjoyed the entire series so far.}

C. GO IT ALONE or WITH SOMEONE
1. Hunting Season by Shelly Laurenston {I noticed you like Shelly Laurenston too and I was just about to start this book}
2. Caleb by Sarah McCarty {I stare at this book almost every time I go to the bookstore, torn, wondering if I'll like it and if I should get it. . .}

Polina (p0lit0o) | 71 comments Miss,

1. Pile’s O’Book - The Book Thief - I didn't pick the "heaviest" one, but I think this one is enough to hurt someone if you throw it at them. :)
2. Mt. TBR - Sinful - Not too lengthy and a nice cover.
3. Steadily reading - Dear John - Not a five star book for me but it surely deserved my time.

4. Cresting the Rise - The Warlord Wants Forever - Actually, you don't have to read this series in order. Every book has its own story.
5. Reaching the Summit - Something About You - I read this one only a couple of days ago and I absolutely loved it!
6. It's All Downhill from Here - Simone Elkeles with Perfect Chemistry - You have this author on your wishlist with Leaving Paradise but this is definitely better.

Buddy Read
7. Blue Bloods - I'm gonna read this one soon so I'll happily read it with you.
8. Unearthly - I don't have this one yet but I think I will manage to get my hands on it before the end of the month.

Happy Reading!

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments Debbie - sorry for the delay been catching up on schoolwork yesterday and today...but here you go!

A.
1. Stray - Rachel Vincent - I haven't read this one, but heard others recommended it and I have it in audiobook that I'm going to try to get to soon
2. Dark Elves II: Mastered - Jet Mykles - I've really enjoyed other books by Jet Mykles and this is a nice short one for you at only 140 pages
3. Firefly Lane - Kristin Hannah - make sure you have a box of tissues if you decide to read this, I was bawling my eyes out by the end of it (which isn't good when you are reading at work!)

B
1. Some Girls Bite - Chloe Neill - this first book in the Chicagoland Vamps series - i'm impatiently waiting on book 4 to come out in April
2. Lust - Charlotte Featherstone - I read this as an ARC a few weeks ago and its officially released on the 1st (I think) - I saw you had a book by her on your TBR, but hadn't read it
3. Karen Marie Moning - how the heck, have you not read her ;) she has two series out - the Highlaners or the Fever series...I would recommend reading the highlanders started at book 3 first (the first 2 are the weakest) and then transitioning into the Fever series, because there are some reappearing characters, but they are both great

C
1. Tiger Eye - this was recommended for me this month but I didn't get to it, and I saw it was on your TBR pile, so if you want to read it let me know.
2. Earth to Hell - Kylie Chan - this was recommended to me over on Amazon but I haven't picked it up yet - a UF set in Hong Kong, it sounded interesting

Autumn (sweetdenial) | 1471 comments Dear Anja : I had the pleasure to re-visit your vast shelf of books,adding even more to my TBR pile!! I always have a great time snooping around because if there is anyone that knows about romance genre, that would be you! so, here it goes the list of recs that i hope peak your attention. ((huuggs)))

A.Out with the old:

-Piles o` BooksTheOutlander those 896 pages were pretty much beaming at me!! It was the winner hands down!

-Mt.TBR: Pack Challenge Its 223 pages. A nice way to introduce you to the (Magnus Pack series) that has very solid ratings. Its also a freebie,so its already there in ur e-reader! :)

Steady Gaining: Bound by Your Touch I enjoyed this Historical very much primarily because of its setting and the Author`s writing style. it had a nice pace to it.

Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon -*- Pack Challenge (Magnus Pack, #1) by Shelly Laurenston -*- Bound by Your Touch by Meredith Duran

B. In with the new:

-Increase the rise: Dance Upon the Air (The Island Sisters trilogy)Although you have many books from this author in in your shelf, I didnt see this series. They are very popular and well liked. I was torn between the thought that they didnt catch your attention, or simple were not properly introduced to them. So here is a chance!

In case you dont care much for the sisters trilogy i also picked. Pleasure Unbound (Demonica series). They are also very well liked among romance/erotica/paranormal readers. Maybe you can take a look and see if you like them.

-just because: Wicked Ties (wicked lover`s series) ahh.. they are HOT!

-Reaching the Summit: One Foot in the Grave Ha! that was coming!! lol I LOVE the Night Huntress series, and knowing that you are reading the first installment and enjoying it thus far.. well..the second one is even hotter IMO!!

-It's All Downhill from Here: Sarah Addison Allen I really like her settings..(down south culture). She has a magical way to wrap the scenery around food and its smells they all combine some magic... (and it works every time) she is very descriptive.. which is something i love in a writer.She transports you to that surreal world of hers. Garden Spells was my first read, and i loved it!

Emily Giffin Is another author that writes beautifly. her themes are fast paced but they have a very nice flow. Her current style is Chick Lit/insightful. It was a combination that i really enjoyed. Something Borrowed and Something Blue would be a great start to get to know this author.

Dance Upon the Air (Three Sisters Island trilogy #1) by Nora Roberts Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione Wicked Ties by Shayla Black *-* One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost *-* Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin Something Blue by Emily Giffin

Buddy Read

i would love to do some buddy reading with you! even if the titles suggested here dont appeal to you, im always open for suggestions!!

-The Prize: You encouraged me not to give up on JG.Hence my current read (the wedding). I saw ur rating on this book to be one you really enjoyed. So when your are up to a re-read.. just know i will be happy to tag along.

-All I Ever Wanted since you have all her books on your shelf, and i own this book it would be a good chance to read it together.

-Darkfever: This is also a series that we both have in our TBR.! So is a good way to start a series by buddy reading it!

The Prize by Julie Garwood *-* All I Ever Wanted by Kristan Higgins *-* Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning

I really hope you find something you like to read for this month!!! **happy valentines month!! :)

Autumn.

2. The Queen's Fool by Philippa Gregory - I really enjoyed this, don't know if this is your type of historical reading but you can take a look.

I think I am going to go with Giving Chase. I really like Lauren Dane and I already own this one.

Thank you for my picks Katherine!

I'm probably going to try to tackle The Host. That's what I *should* do, considering it's been sitting in my bookcase for a couple years now.

If not, then I'm torn between Naked in Death, If You Dare, or Lilith's Brood.

When are you planning to read it, Pollyanna? Please let me know and we can start it together. I'm thinking it should be my second read of the month (I'm planning to read some romance first) but if you need some time let me know and I'll push it back. :)
